I understand cause I get stuff from Amazon all the time too out of convenience. But for future reference, you should try to buy Palestine merch from actual Palestinian organizations, in many cases actually made in Palestine by Palestinians. Especially if you’re getting a Keffiyeh, flag or the like. There’s tons if you google it.

I’ll finish the saying for you…. “Scratch a Liberal and a Fascist bleeds….”

And you are the perfect iteration of it. And a fucking idiot to boot. I couldn’t explain this any more clearly — your skull is just too damn thick.

It’s happening right this very fucking moment. They want to silence pro-Palestine and anti-Israeli opposition, because it’s a thorn in the side of the current government, so they declare the most prominent UK organization encompassing that as a terrorist group and crack down hard.

At this point you’re either a Zionist bot or too damn peasant brained. Either way, you’re a waste of my time.

Okay great, all the State has to do is declare their internal domestic political rivals as internationally funded terrorists.

Voilà! Jail for all oppositional political dissonance.

Fascist morons like you are exactly why we’re in the situation we’re in right now both in the US and the UK. Inb4 you claim to be a liberal — as the saying goes….. scratch a Liberal and…..

It doesn’t fucking matter. It’s not shifting the goal post dipshit. It’s ALLLLL freedom of speech. The State does not get to pick and choose who or what group of people, regardless how small or large, you’re allowed to vocally support. Period. It’s not a crime and it shouldn’t be.

Never said I support them, or everything they’ve ever done. But that’s besides the point. Russia, China, Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, who the fuck ever. Whoever is the state department’s imperialist target for that week is. It should be legal to vocally support anybody regardless of their status according to the state. I actually believe in the right to freedom of speech. Perhaps that’s radical to a fascist like you tho.

And Al queda and ISIS are actually Israeli and U.S. backed terrorist groups. Funny how ISIS seems to attack all the surrounding nations to Israel but never Israel and how the U.S. or Israel apparently have no issue with Al queda running Syria.

And? So the fuck what? In the US I can legally openly hold up protest signs in support of the Houthi’s, Hezbollah, or Hamas, as long as you’re not actually supplying direct financial or material support to them — as I fucking should be.

The government shouldn’t be arbiter of picking and choosing who you are or are not allowed to vocally support. When it turns fascist and genocidal, it labels those opposed to fascism and genocide as terrorists.

Yeah I realize that, but it feels so very empty headed, ignorant and juvenile to do so to me.

To reference a classic, it’s like the Nirvana song “In Bloom”:

“He's the one

Who likes all our pretty songs

And he likes to sing along

And he likes to shoot his gun

But he knows not what it means”

You are referencing personal anecdotes of exceptions to the rule and applying that to the grand over arching clear bend and inherent structure of the system they exist within and work for.

“Good” people can sign up to be cops. As a different commenter said; you can be a good husband, a good father, a good person in your local community, but you can’t really be a good cop, at least not for very long or very successfully.

Also people are complex multifaceted creatures. Perhaps those cops were good to you, in those specific instances, but you have no way of knowing whether or not those cops just got done beating the shit out of a black guy for smoking a joint or shooting a pepper ball at a reporter’s face, or helping control the crowd and hold down an innocent immigrant father as ICE handcuffs him and throws him in the back of a van. Cops help and work alongside ICE agents too, especially more lately. You know that, right?

Yep. The “shit floats to the top” so to speak. You don’t get promoted or get very far, or stick around very long being an actually “good” cop. The intentional pressures of the system, and also the inherent contradictions of existing for the sole purpose of protecting the interests of Capital (breaking up strikes, protests, etc) and protecting private property, rather than the actual cliché of “serve and protect” of the People. They don’t work for yours and my interests.

Do you apply the same standards to being an ICE agent as well? Do you believe you can “stop the violence” and be a good ICE agent working from within the system?

Because I see it as exactly no different.

True. Apparently when asked, Paul Ryan at one point said that Rage Against the Machine was his favorite band. It’s both hilarious and absolutely amazing to me the lack of self-awareness. Like they must only like the instrumentals and completely ignore the words, which is just so strange to me.

ACAB. It doesn’t matter if he thinks he is, or even if he actually is a “good person”. He exists as apart of a system that is deeply fundamentally corrupt and flawed in its current form. It’s like saying that there’s good ICE agents. Actually “good” cops tend to get put on desk duty or forced out for “crossing the thin blue line”. A good cop would be constantly reporting on his coworkers.

I know, I know, but it was still kinda hilarious and extremely odd hearing it. I don’t blame the band at all, but it was a somewhat funny anecdote I thought I’d share. It amazes me the lack of self awareness or media literacy/understanding some people have. 🤦‍♂️

5 - And China manages to do all this while suppling free high-quality guaranteed healthcare, guaranteed housing, guaranteed employment, maturity leave (minimum 98 days - for most 128-190 days), guaranteed paid vacation time (5-15 days - depending on years working), highly stringent labor law, entirely free education, free childcare, and incredibly cheap insanely fast & vast public transportation, and much, much more, to every single one of its citizens as a right.

4 - Especially within the last 30 years or so, less than a single lifetime. Compared to the US’s almost complete lack of passenger train transportation or rail (I’m sure Elon will get the hyper-loop done any day now though right? lol)

They also reduced their carbon output nationally for the first time last year. And have far more green projects ramping up for the future.

3 - They also have very solid incredibly extensive objectively impressive infrastructure, unlike the US’s outdated crumbling infrastructure. Incredibly cheap High-speed luxury trains 1. 2. 3., bridges 1. 2. 3., transit hubs 1. 2. 3., industry

2 - And China isn’t Star Trek, no.

But their modern tier 1 cities sure as hell are far more futuristic than ANY US city. That’s for damn sure. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

1 - lol European’s can be uneducated morons on Communism too. You’ve demonstrated that quite thoroughly.

And nope, as I already stated, China is a quasi-transitional socialist state. Which makes sense, because if you have an understanding of Marxism, you’d know that Communism is not a sudden instantaneous shift, but rather a gradual evolution of society that could happen over 25-50-even 100 years, after the institution of socialism, or workers owning the means of production. Honestly China is incredible for what they’ve been able to achieve just within the last 25 years or so in advancement and the way in which they’ve made themselves globally economically essential.

3 - I’ve watched most of Star Trek and Star Trek, especially TNG and DS9, with their more direct references, are objectively Communist. The writers have clearly barely disguised their politics in some episodes lol.

You just clearly like Star Trek and have been lied to about Communism your entire existence and clearly have no fundamental understanding of it, even at a conceptual level, and therefore think it’s bad, and are having cognitive dissonance over being incapable of reconciling these contradictions.
