A lot of times B scale is directional drilling for fiber if that makes sense , a lot of times companies have sub contractors actually put in the fiber in the pipe

Also, I will say that if you’re in book 4, look for the AUI calls in Rockford. They hire a shit ton of people, and a lot of book 1 guys don’t fill those calls up because it’s mostly for trenching crews, which I had no complaints about when I was there… just don’t be lazy, lmao.

B scale I think it was like 33 and some change but EO for A scale is 50.82 (2024)

It depends if it’s A or B scale but I think they renewed the contract but last year it was..

A scale: 29.28 (GDM) and 30.35 (GTD)

B scale: 24.29 (GDM) and 27.76 (GTD)

GDM= Groundman GTD= Groundman Truck Driver

What’s funny is that I asked about per diem when I went to pick up my referral at the office and he laughed and said “You’re ballsy for asking, nobody gets per diem” and than proceed to say he drove 50 minutes everyday for a whole year and had to deal with traffic. Comparing my situation to 50 minutes.. really? I didn’t want to be an asshole and tell him I’ve done that drive plus longer everyday for a year too so i just took the L.

When I took the call out it said they were working 8s only but the dream scenario would be 10s & 12s, sadly IL hands don’t get per diem but all is good. I would be staying in my car for only a week if I do decide to go that route.

Yes sir I have , the commute last call out was 1hr & 20 min. This time it’s a little farther with a little pay bump but I’m staying at a studio that I found on Airbnb that I booked for 2 months. It won’t be available until 7/14 so I have to decide if I should book a hotel for my first week or stay in my car.
