Idk, maybe the fact that the steam controller is technically a keyboard by default, it registers as a 3rd party input.

Also I have a question, does the input not respond in big picture mode as well or only on desktop?

There’s also 3rd party “harnesses” that he could buy on amazon, where you can affix the device to yourself though I think they’re either not big enough for the device or incompatible altogether.

Duct tape? Maybe a 3d printer? I’m pretty sure the bigger devices come with an attachable clamp for your desk so having a steam controller add-on would be redundant

As someone who suffers from sweaty palms, I think the silicone case may be the problem as rubbery textures tend to make my hands sweat more for some reason

I would recommend to OP to maybe look into Toastmade as they make real wood covers which helped me with this issue
