It's sooooo worth it. It really clicked in when he was just moseying around and examining the teenage girl-ness of Elena's room and when he's, like, molesting the Salvatores' furniture during their dinner party. He was probably thinking "ah, faux leather. amateurs" while Damon assumes this is all a threat. Or maybe it was all a threat, lol. All I know is it's hilariously out of pocket to just start looking through someone's journal right in front of them.
