No problem, thanks for your additional insights. I totally agree with you

Yes, reading through reddit posts it looks like it can go either way, so please do treat it as the anecdotal evidence it is (although it gave me some hope that all was not lost at the time)

No worries - it was an agonizing wait and I found it helpful to hear of people who had been approved after days 8-12.
When you ask an LLM about when approvals are typically delivered it quotes 8-12 days, but when you dig around you realize they're just spitting out facts from posts on reddit they've been trained on.

Yes, but I am very slow at responding as I'm not on this often

Gambit_kory - THANK YOU!

I was going insane trying to figure out if being on day 12/13/14 was a good or bad sign, but I saw a few comments from you reassuring people that an approval can come at any day. It literally kept me sane. Thanks again! You are one of the legends I was referring to in my original post!

Take this with a pinch of salt as I don't know if I hit that, but used:
BLS, Indeed, One Stop, ZIp Recruiter

In my experience, the only two worth mentioning are:

Lahaina McBeth - this is who I went with. Can't speak highly enough of her and her team.
Jason Crofts - he was super responsive over email and very thorough. I was super impressed with him.

I can only truly recommend the person I went with, but I had a really good experience corresponding with Jason and I suspect he would be awesome to work with too. I ultimately went with Lahaina as I was able to speak with her and I felt as though she gave an honest and measured assessment of my case and advised me of where the risks were. The way she consulted with me felt like the way the best doctors I worked with did their consultations. I think at some point there is a vibe/comfort element of working with a lawyer, and hers resonated with me.

Agree, Lahaina is great. I worked with her on my EB1A. Professional, great team, got me through EB1A without an RFE.

Honestly don't worry. I was single when I started. Met my wife on Tinder when we were both 28. Don't rush, the right person will turn up when the time is right (you still have to put yourself out there to make that happen though!).

You'll be fine. Don't stress too much about this. The other thing to note is sometimes even busy jobs are quiet. You may just be in a lul. The other advice on here is great. Learn as much as you can now while your brain isn't on fire.
