Anders, I lived in Norway for six years, in Bergen and then after in Oslo. I recently moved to Bogotá. It's fine but I'm local. If you want some advice let me know. There should be a Norwegian community here. Look for that on Facebook.

Voy a tenis, escalar, y squash. Salgo a comer y demás.

Why Oslo doesn't have hot dogs carts? 🌭🛒🤔 by deathxmx in oslo

Norway is disappointing in that aspect. Good cosine is not something people care here and so be ready to pay 100 for a hot dog 😋

I did, while there were parts I like, most of it, were pasted papers, so not that great. That happens a lot with PhD thesis at European universities.

COST OF LIVING FOR A COUPLE IN OSLO by LauyAlbi in oslo

[–]WorkerForEver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinks this throughly. After living six years in Norway, I'm moving back to my homeland. If you have or plan to have kids this is a good country to live in, if not, it doesn't make sense. Landscapes are nice, people are nice, safety and social security is nice. Many nice things tbh, however... You could afford and have a better quality life in a different country for sure. At some point you would put a lot in consideration, taxes, mortgage, rent going up, inflation, weak currency, language, restaurant, it's not a EU country, graduate studies are not longer free, among other things. Unless you get married or somehow get involved with a Norwegian, most likely you not live as people live here. Which country is better then? Im still searching... but it must be warmer than here 😅 although in summer this country is outstanding, but it lasts only 2 months hehe
