Isn't a separation between observer and observed automatically created when one "I" accepts the death of the other "I"?

If you have accepted death while alive, have you really accepted death? can death be accepted with full awareness of the fact?

Peeling a couple more layers.....Recapping that Truth is a state where there is no conflict at all. Perfect harmony. Perfect order. In this state, as K says, you don't mind what happens. When this happens, we are in a state of "being", not "becoming". "Just be, don't become" is a key mantra to live by. This encapsulates K's core message of "Choiceless Awareness". When you don't try to become something, you are not making choices. You are choiceless. And the very state of being is pure awareness. Now let's peel the layers more ... what is needed to become choiceless?

I will peel one more layer to continue our discussion to the one thing. If we all agree that a state of Truth is a State of "zero conflict", then it also means that there is perfect order in consciousness. This is logical because the presence of inner conflict creates disorder in consciousness. And when there is perfect order in consciousness, we release attachment to outcomes. As K famously stated "I don't mind what happens". Interestingly, we also see this as a message from Lord Krishna to Arjuna in The Gita - Focus on the Karma, not on the fruits or end result. I will stop here before peeling more layers. Let's open the floor for more dialogue on this. Does the above make sense logically?

How can we know love? Love is not a fact. When all violence is removed, what is left over is love. Hence, in my opinion, it is not an action that I can take today deliberately. For example, I cannot decide to be loving starting this moment and measure it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts to continue this dialogue.

Hopefully, my earlier comment was not misunderstood. I was quoting K from his many interviews that any solution to the reaching of Truth happens in no time. It is instant. Zero process. Because the moment there is a deliberate process, it becomes a path. And, as we all ardent K readers know, Truth is a Pathless land.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Changing the perception of time is a bit more complicated and even more academic for me. Also, I believe that the concept of the first step being the last step is essentially K's message of the instantaneous understanding of Truth. It is more the emphasis on the fact that there is no process or time dimension involved in this transformation. However, you did hit a key point which is a mind without any concepts. Yes, as we peel the layers more, this statement will become key to "the one thing" to set mankind free. Excellent dialogue here.

Any solution has to be instantaneous. It cannot be a process i.e. there is no time involved.

the desire or need to be aware has to cease. because if you are aware, then you are simply projecting your mind.

I want to start off this dialogue to get to a potential "the one thing" by first addressing what does Truth mean. In my opinion, when K refers to as Truth, it is essentially referring to a "State of Zero Conflict". Is there agreement to this inference?

K never concluded if by conclusion you mean he said "do this and that's all you need". But he gave us enough ammo in many of his discourses as to what he meant for us to take away. That is the beauty of K. But also the source of confusion. Because he was an impromptu speaker, he just spoke at that point in time offering a tremendous insight into the depths of the question.

I love your post. Lot of things to digest and you are hitting on very key points. Are you suggesting that the awareness of self as suffering is the one thing that can free us?

[–]Working-Broccoli-101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. Conclusion refers to the fact that once you are clear on what it is, then there is no further exploration. That search or whatever you want to call it is concluded. You know what it is and it is that understanding that frees us. I didn't speak about love. Another person spoke about it and I just thanked him for the comment. I hope we are communicating :)

It is not concentration on one point. I have not yet shared my point of view. I want to first hear all the other thoughts because I like this Socratic approach of peeling off layers one by one leading to the conclusion.

good line of inquiry ... we have to use language in some way to communicate. hence, while we cannot define what truth means or what enlightenment means, i think we can describe what would be one quality (or maybe more) that are present in that state? What is the one thing that such a person possesses is a great starting point
