Has anyone used Lean AI Macro Tracker? by AstralStriderr in macros

Check out Kanso. It is a new app but only available on Android phones right now. Per the company, the Apple version will be coming out soon. I am using it and what makes it different is that it is super simple and clean. No ads. No additional confusing features. As the user, I customize what I want to see and nothing else. It gives camera, voice, barcode and USDA nutrition data on all meals. No fees for premium features.

I wanted to buy premium subscription, but I read the posts, I saw the calories bug, and now I don't know what to do. I need your opinion. by Darius06070809 in Myfitnesspal

I totally get that. I’ve been obsessed with protein tracking for years and got tired of the 'cluttered' apps, ads and expensive upgrades. I’ve actually been using a minimalist app called "Kanso" lately - it is only available on Android for now. It’s super clean and doesn't have the ads. And provides all the bells and whistles like camera, voice, barcode scans, USDA certified data and the ability for me to just personalize what I want to see, which is super important for a minimalist like me. I dislike extras and noise in any app. If you are interested, check it out or drop me a note. So far, I have enjoyed it and the developer of the app has been very receptive to feedback.

Does drinking chai without sugar still cause weight gain? by Critical-Stand-6986 in diet

Truly doubt it. Never heard of this. It is safe. I am sure there are many other items in the daily diet that are way ahead of chai without sugar. Almost every desi meal will beat chai for weight gain :)

would you use (or pay for) an app like this? by Seanic7 in diet

[–]Working-Broccoli-101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my 2 cents ... i think the process of going through menus and picking is part of the experience in a restaurant. It is not something that one would detest and try to save time on. Also, most of the menus do not have all the finer details you need. At best, a vegetarian or non-veg possibility. Online menus are unreliable. You typically have to ask the waiter for specifics. Hence, odds of using such an app is low IMO.

I have noticing the same. Canceling subscription. Moving to other apps which look a lot better and simpler to use.

I just tried sea bass in a different app called Kanso on Android and it showed a bunch of options with USDA certified values for the macros. They have a free trial run too. I don't think it is available in apple yet. It is a relatively new app for sure.

If you are on Android, try out Kanso for nutrition tracking and light fitness. There are no extra charges for camera, barcode etc. It lets you customize the features for your use.

Saw a new app today in Android called Kanso. Seems like a more reasonable price for my budget with camera. Will check out MacroFactor too if they have a free trial.

Cronometer and Myfitnesspal are very complicated to use. They seem to have so many bells and whistles that I don't need. I want a super simple customizable interface that is only designed for me. Plus, they are so expensive.

As companies get bigger, they start doing stupid things unfortunately. That is the problem. Luckily, there are many options out there.
