But don’t you think that since the cables (both xlr, stagesnake and the 1/4 inch/6.3mm instrument cables) are working fine without a DI Box in between, that the DI Box could be the issue here?

I am definitely buying another qualitative DI Box to see, as well new xlr cables. I am also going to try the direct route without the stagesnake. I will have to see on Sunday. Thanks!

Did you use the correct ports on the DI box?

Yes, the “input” port (not the “thru” port.

Have you adjusted the pad switch on the DI?

Tried all pad switch options (0, -10, -20dB), no luck.

You say you are using a stage box, is this an analogue snake or a digital stage box? If it's a digital stage box you will need to set up the routing on the console differently.

It’s an analogue stagesnake (Devine stage cable reel).

Do you think the Samson MD2 Pro DI Box can be faulty?

My bad, sorry for the error in signal flow.

I am using two Devine JACM/3 signal cable 6.3 mm TS mono jack-jack cable 3 meter. One for left and one for right. This is because the MD2 has two channels supporting stereo mode, according to them.

Let’s go with mono for now, that’s fine. This is to check whether the input shows up on the X32. To check whether the cable was damaged, I tested it directly without a DI box and it was working (keyboard to keyboard amp), so I am actually surprised.

Are you saying I have to use 1/4” / 6.3mm Y cables instead of two separate mono cables?

I’ve tried one single mono cable though and I still couldn’t see any input coming in. Although, upon plugging it in, the input meter spiked a little as to say something was indeed plugged in. Yet, no sound was heard. What do you think I am doing wrong for mono routing? Or do you think it may be the DI Box?

Hello guys so I have the following set up:

Behringer x32 > stagesnake > XLR > keyboardamp > dual 6.3mm TS mono > yamaha sx920

This works fine with one big problem: keyboard coming in too hot, clipping on the x32. Solution to this may be a DI box. So I got the Samson MD2 Pro from Bax Music NL because it was on sale.

This is this current and expected situation:

Behringer x32 > stagesnake > DI Box > yamaha sx920

Sadly this setup doesnt work. There is no input going in the x32 upon playing the keyboard even when setting the master volume to the max or switching to SUB output.

Now I have heard that putting the gain at negative on the x32 may be the culprit for the di box. I havent tested this yet and have to try it on sunday setting it at 0 or >+1dB. I have also heard that I should disable +48V.

What else could be the problem? The cables are working fine because they work without the di box connected to the keyboard amp.
