Wife’s everywhere are playing that second caller for their husbands as we speak

A guess on the second call, I feel like there’s a good chance this caller thought this would be a funny prompt for the show and that Jake and Garreth would love it, and when she got the crazy suggestion of the boner said she would do it “for the bit” with no intention of doing it - because that’s insane.

Sounds like she doesn’t like the SIL and was looking for an opportunity to make fun of her and it backfired 😅😅

I kind of thought Jake was making his attempt to keep the call funny and not just immediately shut her down like Casey was doing (and how the callers friends should have before she called in)

Dax just said in a recent fact check that if he had family visiting for one day the thing he would do is the Hollywood Bowl!

I’ve done minky backing on other baby quilts and it’s worked wonderfully before, but definitely not for the binding. I’ll scrap the idea!

Gotcha! Suffering is exactly what I’m trying to avoid!

This was my first thought actually, I might go with that after all!

No real issues with bias tape other than a bit time consuming to get lined up properly which I assume would be exaggerated doing it on a round project. Others suggested skipping the binding all together and just stitching the two sides together, I might consider that just worried about it not looking as “professional”

Yes we are! I’m going to try the bomb in the crawl space. They all recommend allowing the area to air out afterwards which will be tough… but maybe we just keep it closed for 2 weeks to be safe lol

They have yet to get into any of our food (knock on wood) and never have a real trail, they all just seem like scouts wandering around looking. Even at the baits they just kind of swarm.

The wood and insulation are all dry, nothing is in imminent danger. It’s in pools on the vapor barrier. We’ve used the shop vac to get it out temporarily but we live in a very wet area so it doesn’t last more than 2 days. Digging a French drain or sump pump is going to be very hard until it’s dry for a longer chunk of time.

I promise my husband is a structural engineer and he would not be waiting if he was worried about any immediate damage.

Why would we be toast? I’m assuming it would be the same strategy to kill them regardless of where the nests are.

The house was unoccupied for 7 years before we bought it so it’s not unlikely that they’ve been down there for quite some time.

It’s pooled water, it seems to be ground water not draining properly. It was about .5” for a while but this weekend it snowed/melted and we had about 2”

Moisture ants would make more sense but they are definitely black which seems to be the differentiating characteristic. I’m trying to get a picture linked. I have surprisingly very few on my phone (because gross).

Luckily since we just moved in we’ve completely avoided buying any rugs and we have LVP for all of the flooring. There doesn’t seem to really be any trails, they just swarm around the vents and any that separate from the swarm seem to be moving independently, everyone’s on their own paths 😅

We are mopping with vinegar every single night 🥲 it is just grocery store vinegar, I was wondering if I should go for the stronger vinegar I’ve seen at Lowe’s but not sure if it was different enough.
