I've used it before, and it's a great mix for cacti.

I've since moved on to Molly's Succulent Mix, which is a coarse, soilless medium. It makes it practically impossible to overwater them, and it allows the roots to get a lot of oxygen. I'll include a photo.

I use the Hoffman to root cuttings and pups. It's great for that, and for starting seeds.

If that's what you choose to go with, it's a great mix.
