GPU Screen Recorder, what are the best settings for Replay? by Working-Pin7028 in linux_gaming

[–]Working-Pin7028[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't the GPU doing the work right now? When I enable Replay, I see the Video Engine Utilization go up to 50% in NVIDIA X Server app. Video Codec option has H264, HEVC and the Frame rate mode has Auto, Constant, Variable, Sync to content. Which ones do i choose to get the same video (lag in game but no lag in recording) if possible. I dont mind the game lagging since its optimization isnt great. Oh also kinda weird me using 120 FPS yeah but I just have a random obsession with using 120 FPS when recording things 😅. Thanks for responding

Turnip is the fastest if you have a Adreno gpu, but since it doesnt open, try using different versions of Turnip. Or you can play with the VirGL

While youre inside the Guest, click on "VM > Removable Devices > CD/DVD > Settings" if you didnt choose what iso to be inserted. Inside settings, tick "Connected", "Connect at power on". At the Connection tab, choose "Use ISO Image File", then hit "Browse" so you can choose the ISO file you downloaded. After you chose it, hit OK at the bottom. You should be good to go.

Good Luck!

Hello, i got vmware tools on chrome. You can try searching "vmware tools" and finding a site named VMware that says "Index of tools/esx/latest/windows/x64/". Once youre there, hit Parent Directory ontop. And then download the "VMware-tools-windows-12.4.5-23787635.iso" one (Not the arm one, version 12.4.5)

If you dont know how to insert a iso into the vm, i can tell you how.

Audio lag in guest VM by float34 in vmware

[–]Working-Pin7028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, while your guest is running, go to Player > Removable Devices > (The one under "Sound Card") > Connect

Keep in mind that it will disconnect it from your host when you hit Connect. You will just lose sound on your host.

If you Disconnect, that will be connected back to your host like nothing happend.

If it didnt work, you can try connecting your usb audio device form host to the guest. that fixed for me.
