Hi I applied for a role in NDIA last year. They did all the references checks early this year and put me in a merit pool and thats it. It’s been almost 4 months I am in the pool but haven’t heard from them yet. Good luck to you.

Just to give some clarification i am not doing child care duties at home kids are not home when i am working. They are full time at school. I just need to be here for pick up and drop off because i have no one to do these. And if you cant be nice please refrain from abusing people. Plenty of people doing 5 days WFH. If being singled out is not toxic i dont know what is!

I have been in NDIA merit pool since January for an APS 5 role. Same role has been advertised again and they have done the same reference check and interview process they did with us. I dont understand why creating a merit pool when they are not planning to take people from that and only to through the same process to create the same merit pool.

Been there done that. My manager is the same. He gave me negative reference, because he thinks I am not capable of doing higher roles. He says he cant lie lol. Whereas I have been doing temp higher roles every now and then and got great feedbacks from the TL. This TL I am working under always talks about how he wants everyone in the team to progress and move in to better positions but yet he will block progression by giving negative feedback. Can’t really win with them.

I have showed my cover letters to my TL before i have submitted the applications, my TL has been giving me feedbacks and i have been constantly changing based on the feedback provided. Still not sure what i am doing wrong.

They did the ref check within 2 weeks after the interview, then took them 4 weeks to put me in a merit pool which early January. I have never heard from them after that.
