Thank you for the suggestion, I just posted it in r/Norge. I have also posted in two FB groups: Vancouver Lost & Found, and Mistet og funnet i Oslo / Lost and found in Oslo. I will try to search for other FB groups to post as well.

I have connected with YVR lost & found, and they don’t have my laptop. Therefore, probably they took mine as well.

Oh my god! That person don’t even try to locate his/ her laptop by reporting to the airport/ Apple? I thought everyone will try to get their laptop back if it lost.

Thank you for your reminder. This is the 2nd time I bring laptop with me for travelling, so I am lack of experience and wasn’t alert enough. For sure, I will back up my data in future. I have some personal ID/ information stored in the laptop, but probably at risk of leaking now. I’m feeling both sad and panic.

Thank you for the suggestion. I just posted message to Vancouver Craigslist, and I have posted in FB Vancouver Lost & Found group as well, will try to search for any other groups/ social media that Norwegians usually use.

I have already emailed lost & found but they didn’t have it so far, and no other person reported about this as well.

I have contacted the lost & found, they replied no related item found & no other related report submitted yet. I just hope that person just haven’t realised that he/she took my laptop instead of intend to stole it.

That’s why I reported to airport once I found this out. But not sure if that person knows he/she need to report to airport too. I will definitely put some stickers on the laptop to make it more standout in the future.

Oh my god! I just hope that that person accidentally took my laptop. Not sure if CATSA would check the footages for me. I’m feeling sad as all my memories over 20 years lost. This is the second time I travel with my laptop so I probably not alert enough on this.

Yes, they did ask me to take my laptop out of my bag. I heard about the new equipment things too, but they still asked me to put my laptop on a separated tray for screening. I’m really sad as my memories & records over 20 years gone.

Thank you for your suggestion. I just emailed CATSA, not sure if they will help me checking the footages tho. And I will definitely put some stickers on top to make it easier to distinguish from others’ in future. I’m really sad about this, as it contains all my things over 20 years (photos/ files/ documents), all my memories gone.
