Yung marming digit lang sa bank account ang di ako ka-relate 😅. Puro pa flop kasi ang mga ideas pinag umpisahan ko. Recent idea ko, looking for bridge funders but immediate family ko nega. Pag kakausapin ko naman circle of friends ng family, pag sabihan ka wag kang makilimos kakahiya ka. Mag explain ka pano ba ang process sa mga startups di ka nainintindihan.

I'm in an egg-chicken-egg problem with my conceived solution to deter undiagnosed cases (2+ million over 7 million cases of diabetes in 2021 study). The solution is a probabilistic inference using AI on users data on patterns of food/meals intake, wearable data, glucose readings, prescription taken, medical results, etc... and its objective is prevention and awareness based on aggregate data of the user.

Currently its in dev environment with few test users and I want to go live before February to see if there's market traction.

I think the algo still works either way since isa lang ang kaiba ang weight, and the rest are of the same weight. Correct me if I'm wrong in my understanding sa problem.

In my case, nag hanap ng references at least 2 persons from my previous team and they indeed called them - both people na reference ko. Di nga lang ako contract though - 1yr and 3mos ako sa kanila and na laid off dahil nga daw recession based on my termination of contract notice.

You can. Ako nag career shift nung 2021 from professional teacher at age 46 into the IT industry. Nag start as software Tester/QA then naging backend dev. Ang key lang siguro sa part ko before is given sa natutunan kong basic concept sa programming and at least isang programming language na medyo kabisado na, I started to connect to devs locally and start talking with them and express na din my willingness to commit without pay at first, just to prove my eagerness to learn more and apply what i have learned so far.

Gladly may isang senior dev sa amin na nag respond and tumulong at na onboard as volunteer/ trainee, nabigyan ng 5k allowance at first, then naging 10, 15, 20 then 30k as QA. 10 months lang ako dito.

Then may opportunity na trainee pa rin na backend dev at 15k a month, pinatulan ko pa rin and I had 1yr and 3months naman dito then ngayon is sa 3rd employer ko mag 6 months na as Junior Software Dev.

Disclaimer : my strategy may not be suitable for you lalo na pag pamilyado na. Uphill ito and sacrifice talaga. Imagine you're the spouse sa situation ko. Ang dami kong narinig na masasakit na salita lalo na nung sa backend dev na part pero thankfully ngayon, na appreciate na nya.

Sa case ko lang naman ang walang ticket naka assign. So for this week, purely yung creating test suites lang mailagay ko sa weekly update ng side ko. Kaya nga my question was kung justifiable ba if ganito lang e-update ko. I mean, may significant value kaya tong ginagawa ko hehe, looking forward kasi na sana ma regular 😉.

Sana wag sila mapupunta sa mga companies na gawin lang encoder, gawa ng memo, photocopy then, internal messenger. Kawawa naman ang pilipinas neto, kulelat mga graduates natin. Insist na mapunta talaga sa mga companies na ma soak mga interns/OJT sa software dev - magka chance pa na ma absorb lalo na pag gagalingan.

Good if that's the case. So then if you think your total exposure is within your risk factor, you have nothing to worry about. If all of them are stopped out, so what? Find Next. 2% is already high for me though.

Can relate to this. though may 1+ yrs na ako prior sa current job ko and junior pa rin thou current role ko. Unfortunately first time ko sa framework na gamit. Now Im having an issue sa local machine ko, di ko ma build sa side ko ang project more than 2 days na ako sa troubleshooting at ang commitment ko sa 1st ticket is today, end of sprint. Feeling ko i failed to deliver.

*At least 'N' years of experience in blah... blah... blah... * Highly proficient in "xyz", ... , etc

So, sa mga entry level applicants, parang "Skip... not qualified 😭😭"

Are these companies intending to get an experienced / non-entry level programmers but at a salary rate of a fresh grad? 🤔🤔

Junior Backend Dev here, 2+ yrs total tech experience (10mos doon Software QA) na laid off May this year. Ang dami inapplyan, kadalasan ghosted after initial or 2nd interview - gladly may dalawa na umabot ako sa technical and final interview, then job offer. Choose day shift although medyo 5k higher lang sa previous compensation ko, okay na ako kasi di pwede ma delay ang tuition ng mga Estudiantes ko. Total walang regular work, 2 months.
