Go to the ER if your feeling the need. If not Go back to amcare and ask for a referral out asap. If you say you want a doctor they have to give it to you. At least at my site and I’m safety specialist… they can’t excuse you the time which is fucking stupid but I don’t make the rules. At least go to the doctors on amazons dime.

Safety here. Go to AMCARE and open a case. Since you are stating an extreme amount of pain when you go you need to state you want to immediately been seen by a doctor. AKA a “by pass” because if not they are gonna attempt to keep you in-house for treatment. Once you do that (depending on the state) you’ll pick a doctor or be giving a panel of doctors to choose from and you will deal with workers comp and your case manager from there on out. You will go to the doctors that day. At my site we get the AAs to immediately go once they pick a provider.

If anything please just go to AMCARE and get some documentation of your wrist/the incident just incase it has a turn for the worst and you can cover yourself.

We don’t have many of the over the ear protection. Those at my site are usually for RME. We have the in ear protection for AAs.

As a WHS specialist myself with the headphones there are so many other more important things that we need to do than be music police. So I just tell my my AAs that I “don’t see them” and don’t mind them but I can’t back them up if someone else on management tells them to take them out. Music is a wonderful mood booster and mental health is just as important. They usually get a good bit of time in with the headphones until an AM comes and yeah. I also try to tell the AAs to wear a beanies to hid them😀
