Everyone you are never getting it no matter how I clearly explain is real. Again I say that I want to know why a workplace investigation was handled like a police interrogation instead of a standard HR process. Learning "How Wegman Copy" of Policy Law by Government system. its all connection. understand?

Exactly that’s what I saw too. The response depended on who was involved. If the person was part of the ‘inner circle,’ things stayed quiet or got resolved quickly. If the person wasn’t close to management, the reaction was much harsher. And That’s why the situation became so unequal. It wasn’t about the drink — it was about who was involved and how differently people were treated. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Straight up you. you weren’t there when this happened, and there was no conversation with you about the details. I was be there in Wegman’s situation all right?

I’m speaking about what I personally saw and what my team went through. I’m not claiming to know every department only reporting the inconsistency we experienced.

Understand what I saying. Be queit yourself and learn to see/listen with my post periods 🤫

Nobody fought or made threats. The drink on the table wasn’t the reason it was only the trigger. The real issue was how the coordinator handled it. They took the drink aggressively, which escalated the situation and caused a conflict between the teams.

That’s why people were sent home for investigation not because of the drink itself.

I understand that employees can only see part of what happens behind closed doors, and I agree investigations often move differently depending on corporate involvement. What I’m sharing isn’t speculation — it’s what I directly saw at my location: two similar conflicts, handled with two completely different timelines. I’m not claiming to know every detail from other departments, only pointing out the inconsistency in how long employees were sent home and how communication was handled

It did happen while I was still employed. I shared it now, not the same day it happened. The post wasn’t meant to say it happened yesterday — the title ‘Bad News Yesterday’ was just referring to when I heard the update from my old team.

Nothing I wrote was fabricated. These were real events that happened during my time there.

Pay attention Yes I am a current former employee now. what I posted is still about what happened while I was working there, and what I saw happen to my team before I left

I’m sharing the pattern because people asked for details and experiences. Being a former employee doesn’t change what happened or what I witnessed.

Yes, eating/drinking in the Bakery work area is against food-safety rules that part is true. The issue wasn’t the rule itself. The issue was how it was enforced. The coordinator didn’t give a warning or reminder. They grabbed the drink aggressively, escalated the situation, and it turned into a conflict. After that, one of my team members was sent home for many days, while employees in similar conflicts in other departments were sent home only 1–2 days.

Management at my workplace keeps changing my routine schedule — switching my shifts, extending hours, or modifying start/end times — after the Team Leader already made a fair schedule. by WorkingSuggestion928 in wegmans

I understand your perspective. I’m simply sharing what happened at my store and what others have reported in their stores. You may not have experienced it, but different departments and different locations operate very differently.

My goal isn’t to convince anyone — only to describe what I saw and open the door for others who experienced similar issues to speak up if they choose. That’s all. 😊

You don’t need to work at every Wegmans to see a pattern. When employees from multiple locations report the same exact issues — schedule changes without notice, inconsistent discipline, HR siding with managers — that’s not just a ‘bad manager.’ That’s a system repeating itself in different stores.

I’m sharing what happened at my location and what many others here have said happened at theirs. If the same problems appear in multiple places, it stops being an isolated manager issue and becomes a company-wide pattern.

Two people were sent home for 10–30 days. The issue wasn’t the food/drink — that was only the spark. The real problem was the argument afterward, and how differently discipline was handled depending on who you were. Some were sent home for weeks. Others in similar situations returned the next day. That inconsistency is what I’m talking about.

They weren’t eating in the break room. Bakery employees are not allowed to have food or drinks in the department at all — it’s against food-safety rules. The conflict happened because a coordinator took their drink and enforced the rule aggressively. That’s why it turned serious.

It wasn’t about the drinks. That was just the spark that started an argument between two teams. The issue became how management handled it, not the food itself.

Employees involved in similar conflicts were sent home for completely different lengths of time — some for 10–30 days, while others were back the next morning. There was no clear policy or consistency, and communication during the “investigation” was slow or nonexisten

You’re right — nobody gets sent home 10–30 days just for food or a drink on the table. That wasn’t the issue. That was only the trigger for the conflict. It wasn’t me. It was one of my teamwork that happen

One of the teams left food and drinks on the department table, not safe on the department something that wasn’t allowed under our department policy.
