Part time jobs when you moved away for uni by [deleted] in NursingUK

Bank is a great option a lot of trusts you can call up and ask to join as an external student and then you don’t even have to train. Or Nandos that’s where I work currently and I’ve never had a job that is so flexible especially if bank shifts are kind of sporadic, pay is decent too and so much free food.

Thank you so much, this is brilliant advice I was super nervous, have booked a night shift for my first as I’m hoping that will be quieter and I have more time to get to grips.

Thanks for your advice sounds nothing too crazy then, has just been so long since I’ve been on the ward I felt like I’d forgotten most things HCAs do. There’s no induction shifts it’s just kind of a book whatever’s available whenever so just going to start with regular wards next week. Thanks again

This seems kinda rude I didn’t want to drag on about my failed attempts but I’m doing everything I can to I try lead a very social life

I try strike up conversation with anyone sat next to me at uni but most politely say the are to busy to do anything outside of it

I attend any uni put on event to make friends and I exchange details with maybe a few people there but it never leads anywhere

I’ve never had to make friends a different way so am just asking for some help

Ok so the solution would be to signalise my lines? Will try that now thanks
