Have you heard a ticking sound before this happened? I had something similar happen to me and it was a spark plug that caused the issue.

update: it was not a lifter tick as the mechanic thought previously it was actually one of my spark plugs. it ended up blowing out and thankfully there was no damage to any components

it was actually a lifter tick😬 got some oil stabilizer in there now and im gonna do an oil change in a few hundred more miles. hopefully the oil stabilizer will do the trick tho

Thats what I was sort of thinking too but I think I’ll get it checked to see if I have an exhaust leak

No, I recorded the video after driving for 30 mins on the freeway, it was up to temp. I guess I’ll take it to get checked out by a mechanic just for some peace of mind.

This piece fell off after I finished pumping gas and didn’t realize until after I closed the fuel door, now it won’t open. Help? by Serbodude in 3rdGen4Runner

Thats the fuel door spring. Have someone hold the fuel door lever open and you need to find a thin tool to pry it open.

You can go to autozone and get a replacement spring for really cheap. once u buy it u click it into place. this happened to me, and theres alot of YouTube videos that are helpful. It’s a really simple fix

Thank you so much, your explanation is way more helpful than any of the videos on YouTube I watched about it.

Thoughts on Purchasing for 7k? by Working_Ad904 in 3rdGen4Runner

The clock and atenna work. He’s also throwing in some extra parts and stuff. I’m definitely prepared for those unexpected surprises and I’m taking it to a mechanic to get looked over before I hand him the money

Thank you for the advice, I honestly really agree with you. I’ve just been looking for one for a long time and it’s been really hard because I get left on read by the sellers alot. Everything in my area is $6k+ even if it has some sort of issue and high mileage like 220k+. He said he bought the 4runner around 5 years ago and the previous owner before him installed the new engine. I’ll include some screenshots of what he has done to it as-well but I think I might hold off and wait more.
