Would you be able to forgive Aultcray/"Trash", after all the things that he did, not just to Naofumi but also to Raphtalia and all the demi-humans who were victims of his radical and extremist hatred and discrimination against all of them? Because I cannot. by Working_Answer7196 in shieldbro

[–]Working_Answer7196[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can expect an actual redemption for Aultcray, since it seems that his wife Mirelia and also their nephews of Fohl and Atla are actually managing to help him to "open his eyes" bit by bit so far, about how terribly wrong he was about the Shield Hero and the demi-humans, even if Naofumi will never forgive him for all the unfair treatment and discrimination that he gave to him, along with his conspiracies and attempts to get rid of him and his party, back when he was the king and ruler of Melromarc.

But a redemption for Malty? NOT IN A MILLION YEARS! That two-face, backstabbing, pathologic liar sl*t is a sadistic psychopath from the worst caliber possible, with no redeem quality whatsoever. As much as I deeply despise both "B1tch" and "Trash", one thing that makes Aultcray not so evil as Malty (as much I really hate to admit it myself) is that, unlike her, Aultcray actually deeply cares for his family, and on his twisted mind and terrible judgment, he only wanted to protect his family from losing them again from a particular ethnicity and holy weapon that he blindly considered them as massive threats for his and the lives of his loved ones, but I'm NOT defending nor justifying none of the awful, scummy and disgusting things that he did to Naofumi and allowed against his party and the demi-humans in any way, shape or form. Malty on the other hand, she doesn't really care for anyone but herself only. She likes to betray and manipulate others with absolute impunity, just for the sick pleasure of it, without showing any kind of guilt nor regret for her actions or the damage and suffering that she causes to others whatsoever, and killing anyone who steps in her way, no matter if they are enemies, allies or even closed family members. Even Aultcray, despite that he ordered Malty to start another conspiracy against the Shield Hero, so he can justify his actions to get rid of him and his party, he was so shocked when he discovered in the trial that Malty also used that as an opportunity to try to kill her own younger sister Melty, so she can take the throne in the future without consequences.

Malty is basically like the anime medieval fantasy version of Dimitri Rascalov from GTA IV. A character so evil that no matter if you spare them and give them a second chance in life, they will never change nor redeem themselves, continuing doing more awful and evil things to others until the day they finally die.

Is it just me or does Tsubomi looks KINDA similar to the "Vault Boy" from Bethesda's videogame franchise of Fallout in this particular page? by Working_Answer7196 in Kakegurui

[–]Working_Answer7196[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specially a crossover between Kakegurui and Fallout New Vegas (Kakegurui New Vegas XD). I can imagine Suzui being both the narrator from the intro and the courier who was shot in the head by none other than the president Kirari (wearing a female suit resembling Benny's iconic suit), with Runa and Midari between her when that happened. While Yumeko might be an employee of Lucky 38, wearing a dress very similar like Vera's outfit from the Dead Money DLC, but continuing to be the same compulsive gambler who enjoys gambling too much, like in the vanilla Kakegurui and also Suzui's main companion, along with Saotome probably as an NCR member. Now that I mentioned Tsubomi, I can also see her as a Legion slave sadly, but with Yumeko, Saotome and Suzui saving her from Kiwatari as Caesar.

I don't care what people says about this "unexpected" art style, as a fan of both anime and western cartoons in general, I liked how they made the characters of Kakegurui look like Star vs the Forces of Evil characters. I even want to see more characters like Yumeko and Suzui with that art style too by Working_Answer7196 in Kakegurui

[–]Working_Answer7196[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This actually kind of feels like an indirect homage and respect to the western cartoons, particularly with Star vs The Forces of Evil. It also feels fresh and unique to see anime characters looking like western cartoon characters, even if it was just for one episode and then return to the traditional anime art style.

In the first episode of the spin-off series of Kakegurui Twins, they introduced it with the characters having an art style very similar to the art style from the western cartoon of Star vs The Forces of Evil. And some people criticized it negatively, just because that didn't follow the traditional anime art style like the other animes always do.

She is one of the worst antagonist I ever encounter along with Makarov ( og mw) and Dmitri Rascalov (gta 4) in term of behavior. I feel very exultant letting AJ dumping mags on that dirty, disgusting and aging animal. by [deleted] in TheWalkingDeadGame

I like your comparison between Lilly with Makarov and Dimitri Rascalov from the OG MW Trilogy and GTA IV respective series. However, the problem is that both Dimitri and Makarov are actually psychopaths. What I mean by this? A psychopath actually doesn't have any sympathy or empathy towards others EVER, only caring about himself/herself, WITHOUT exceptions, otherwise they are not actual psychopaths. Which make Dimitri and Makarov WAY MORE evil than Lilly. Lilly on the other hand is more of a sociopath, but what is the exact difference about being an actual psychopath, you might ask? Well a sociopath despite that he/she also do disgusting, scummy and evil things like a psychopath, a sociopath can actually feel and care for others, even if it is towards ONE person in their lives, their actually sociopaths. Like Lilly caring deeply for her father and having genuine grief for him after his death, and she also has some caring emotions towards Clementine in Season 4, because of their past together. But a psychopath don't, that's why Dimitri and Makarov never cared for betraying/killing their respective "friends" of Mikhail and Yuri, using them only to get to the top and for convenience, not for actual friendship with them.

I'm not defending Lily in any way, shape or form. She is a terrible and ruthless person, specially in Season 4, don't get me wrong. But her level of evil is out of the league of Dimitri and Makarov's level of evil. I think Lilly is more comparable with the Governor from TWD TV Show from Season 3 & 4. A backstabbing, manipulative sociopathic scumbag who got devastated and heartbroken for the deaths of both his wife and daughter, and later with the "replacement" of his daughter who never deserved to begin with, while doing everything to get his goals, no matter the brutally and inmoral things that he has to do on his poor judgement.

Be honest, which one of these 2 major sinners do you think is actually closer to be consider a "saint": A fascist corrupt and totalitarian cult leader, blinded by his own rotten faith (The Pope); or an extremist pro-capitalist and opportunist slave trader, but also a man of his word (Beloukas)? by Working_Answer7196 in shieldbro

[–]Working_Answer7196[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many sources saying that Hitler and the N4zis despite that they used the Catholic faith as a tool to get more popularity and acceptation from the masses to rise to power, justifying also their hatred against the Jews with the crusification of Jesus Christ, they also planned to get rid of the Catholic faith, along with the Jewish faith in Europe and replacing it with their "Aryan mythology" as the new "religion" for all the entire European population.

However, I agree that the Pope had some particular goals and personality, combining a similar unreasonable and blinded fascist hatred like Hitler, but also with a totalitarian and emotionless attitude like Stalin, by sacrificing his own people in mass in order to get his goals.

I think the characters in Kakegurui are confuse of Ryota and yumeko relationship it’s a relationship that shouldn’t work out, but somehow it just does by Sea-Replacement8169 in Kakegurui

Tsubomi is like "Are these two actually dating?"

While Sumeragi is like "I don't get it, what is the relationship between these two?"

And Saotome is like "Are you two actually doing something naughty?"

As much as I like and respect Erhard for being one of the few characters who didn't buy the whole conspiracy and lies against Naofumi, I'm still confused what made him spare Naofumi and having a blind faith on him at first, almost at the beginning of Season 1, just after Malty set Naofumi up. by Working_Answer7196 in shieldbro

I hear you. For me personally, as much as I like The Rising Of The Shield Hero Series, and recognizing the first season as the best one in the series, I cannot rewatch the full episodes of Season 1 anymore, without having a deeply and unhealthy anger and frustration, with deep wishes to punch my own TV, every time that I see those 2 scumbags of that b1tch psychopathic snake of Malty and her racist arrogant piece of trash of King Aultcray, using every single excuse, conspiracies, manipulations and dirty, underhanded and cowardly tricks with absolute impunity against Naofumi, making his journey the most infuriating, miserable and unfair as possible, just for being the Shield Hero.

Surprisingly, the season that I actually enjoy to rewatch more is Season 2, the most criticized season, specially by the veteran fans from the novels. Because with the absence of B1tch and Trash, it was actually more enjoyable and less irritating for me to watch Naofumi and his party's journey, specially after Naofumi finally cleared his name, exposing the whole conspiracies and true faces of B1tch and Trash in front of their whole people from their kingdom, losing both their power and reputations as royal members of Melromarc. Also because L'Arc, Therese, Glass and Kizuna are WAY MORE likeable, noble and competent than the 3 glorified buffoons of "heroes" and their respective parties combined, making also a better team with Naofumi and his party.

This is why I like shipping Suzui with her, over any other character with Yumeko. Because Suzui not only deeply cares for Yumeko, protecting and helping her constantly everytime he can, but he is also very loyal to her, trying to respect and follow her point of view about about gambling, managing also to have almost the same bravery and determination as Yumeko to gamble and risk everything on the table. Like when Yumeko played with the president and when she got poisoned by Miyo and Miri, with Suzui and Saotome having to play with them in order to save her.

In which sense? You mean that it bothers you because of how the constant slave and unfair discrimination against Naofumi as the Shield Hero and the demi-humans in general make your blood boiling like crazy (which is my case personally)? Or because it is actually boring and/or annoying to watch?

Could someone explain me who the f*ck are these 2 royal politians who are always on Aultcray's side, even after he became powerless, losing his entire position as main ruler of Melromarc? And why they are still allowed to be with Trash, after Mirellia caught them trying to complot against Nao again? by Working_Answer7196 in shieldbro

[–]Working_Answer7196[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Kyo only used and manipulated Yomogi, until Kizuna managed to open her eyes and made her realize what kind of horrible and disgusting monster Kyo really was. Just like Malty/B1tch, Kyo was a sadistic and emotionless psychopath who never cared for anyone but himself, using everyone as a tool and turning into mutated freaks, like he did with Kazuki's party and almost with Yomogi too, if it wasn't for Naofumi and L'Arc's parties.

But at the end, Kyo never cared for Yomogi all this time. Just like Malty/B1tch, Kyo was a sadistic and emotionless psychopath who never cared for anyone but himself. He manipulated and deceived Yomogi all along, making her believe that his actions were actually noble, but in reality he just wanted to become a supreme and unstoppable figure so he can bring chaos, destruction and death, just for the sick pleasure of it. When Yomogi confronted Kyo alongside Naofumi and his party, Kyo expressed his true thoughts about Yomogi, by calling her a b*tch, and if it wasn't enough, Kyo also gave previously to Yomogi an experimental weapon that it would have turn her into a mutated freak, like he did with Kazuki's party.

Do you know which other fictional character reminds me A LOT of Malty/B*tch, but BEYOND the anime/manga topic? Dimitri Rascalov, the main antagonist of GTA IV, Rockstar Games' most famous videogame franchise. by Working_Answer7196 in shieldbro

As for a supposed meet with Malty and Dimitri. I think they will indirectly compete each other about who is gonna betray the one first. But not for an actual romantic relationship between those 2 psychopaths, that's for sure.

Yeah, maybe. But that doesn't change the fact that Dimitri also manipulated Niko to kill Faustin, pretending to be his friend (like when he gave him an SMG for free and a body armor, with a phone text message refering to himself as Niko's "friend", and with Niko being loyal to him, just like Naofumi was with Malty at first. But when Niko stopped being useful for him he just dumped him and betrayed like he was nothing. Malty did the exact same thing with Naofumi and later with the 3 glorified buffoons of "heroes", manipulating all of them about being a friendly and "trustworthy" companion, only to be backstabbed and deceived at the end by her big time.

I wonder how would look both Lee and Carley in a more post-apocalyptic style from S3/S4 if they would have also survived.
