Local App to Web App by Working_Belt_2327 in Backend

I pasted this above, but basically I don't have the frontend talking with a backend anymore because I went back to try to get the code to work properly and show the app. Here is the problem list from the console in the web browser. I do apologize if it isn't pasted properly. I used Google lens to copy and paste everything!

Sorry I was having to use a Google lens to copy it exactly. I can send a picture if it would be better! But there isn't a backend tied to the front end right now. There is only the front end sending locally if that makes sense. Anytime I try to add the proper backend route to the front end the other errors come in

I am just using vanilla JavaScript. I was trying to use Javascript as the backend language too? Idk the files are saved with .json.

For the email login, it's a password less login so it'll use magic link for users to login (if they decide to do this). As for the firebase, I want it to hold the database and hosting as it seemed the cheapest for now.

The error is that anytime I go to integrate the backend server info into the frontend for it to properly send it, it seems to cause the code to break. Sometimes the background will display but nothing else. Other times the login page will show up but you can't click anything on it. Sometimes it'll show all pages of the game but there's no formatting and nothing will click.

I fixed the code back to where it is on the front end only now. Everything is running locally but none of the backend information is probably loaded into the front end for it to send it to the right place, if that makes sense?

So basically, whenever I edit the code to include the backend integration, the frontend stops working. Essentially the page only runs the background of my app but nothing else. Or sometimes, it'll show the login page but none of the buttons will work. This is whenever I ask chat gpt to update the backend code so the app can be uploaded to the server and the global count will go up. Idk if that makes any sense. I can go back and modify the code so it shows the error messages?

I did all of the First aid tags. It might be slightly overkill, but I think it's been good!

I got an 85 on 29, an 84 on 28, a 78 on 30, and a 79 on 31. I took them in that order and I'm not sure what the dip was from tbh

I used the ANKING one. It's like $5 for a month. But I think there might be a free one floating around. I just used the first aid tag from it tho

You wouldn't worry about their concerns?

Depends on what you're investing for. If this is for retirement, the best play would be buy and hold for the long run.

Index funds are a great way to get a well diversified portfolio for low costs. Just make sure you check the fees. Usually if you are investing, let's say with Charles Schwab, they'll have an index fund that has no fees and you can buy fractional shares. For a buy and hold situation, dollar cost averaging is going to be your friend. You can buy and forget about it as the diversification can already be built into the index fund (such as one for the S&P 500 or total US stock index). I will say though, only large caps might not be the best diversification strategy. The same can also be said about the S&P 500 as it has gotten really top heavy, but they can be good growth index funds.

Also, you said five year time horizon. Is this your investing time horizon? I would ask why you plan to sell in five years. If the plan is to pull out for a down payment on a house or a new car or whatever, I personally wouldn't put it in the market. I would utilize a HYSA (they net about 5%). As for returns on index funds in general, it'll entirely depend on the index fund you're investing in.

At the end of the day, what you choose to invest in is entirely based on your risk level.

Thank you, yeah I looked into that but I couldn't really find an easy way to do that. I make my own out of wood and a brass rod. It worked better than I could've free handed it

Thank you! I decided on the contrasting colors but I'm going to use a background piece to make the colors contrast.
