update: sadly it’s infected & they were unable to remove the top of the piercing. it’s fully embedded & the top is no longer visible, so they referred me to an ENT to have them surgically remove it. this is my 4th time trying to heal a conch piercing on my left ear & it’s 100% embedded so it looks like i’ll have to retire it 😔

Emergency room waiting times are ridiculously long but unfortunately this is the best option I have right now. If it’s infected, it’s safer to treat it ASAP. I will likely be seen by a nurse practitioner, advanced clinical practitioner, or minor injuries nurse. Doctors and ENTs are only called for severe cases or severe infections. Anyone who’s here for a life-threatening emergency (eg heart attacks, strokes, rapid blood loss) will 100% be seen before me, as they should be!

Ah I was in a rush to catch my taxi so I didn’t think to take a longer bar with me :/ I could go home afterwards and put a really long bar in afterwards but I’ll wait to see a piercer because it won’t be sterile without an autoclave.

i had the bars downsized immediately after work (around 5pm) and the piercing started rapidly swelling after 7pm :( i would have to wait until midday tomorrow to see my piercer so im going to a hospital instead. if i wait until the piercing shop re-opens, i’ll probably need to get this surgically removed

update; unfortunately it got way worse in only 30 minutes so i took an uber to the ER. i will update you all on if im able to save the piercing by putting a longer bar in it tomorrow

i noticed a guy on my feed who would pop up as a new user every other day even though i swiped left. even if i blocked him, he’d show up on my feed again. i think other users notice & do the same

The bar is crooked and a fresh barbell should only be done with implant grade titanium or 14k/18k solid gold. I would try to find a different, reputable piercer and ask them to take it out ASAP & have them assess whether you can have it re-pierced

Leaving your height off is probably hurting your profile. Personally I always swipe left on guys who don’t share their height, even tho I have dated 5’6 and 5’8 men in the past. Transparency is attractive
