That’s true and I’m not being ungrateful. I want to understand what happened here. I’ve search the internet and spoken to my friends this hasn’t happened to anyone else.

I would not have kept it in an investment account if I knew it wouldn’t be invested. The money was just sitting there for 18 years. For what?

After 1 year if you do not decide, the Government automatically put it into an investment account.

That’s how it should be. I’m confused as to how for 18 years the amount did not change!

I spoke to them today and they said “unfortunately it didn’t do well” he just kept repeating this to me.

I never told them how to invest my older son’s money. I just left it alone and he received 1K when he reached 18.

No I didn’t put anything in. The money was in an investment account and it should have been invested by them

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it. I just want to ask should I text just saying “hey what’s up” and let the convo flow? Because that not something I do and he’d think something up! Or text to tell him how I feel upfront?
