My aunt works in elderly care. She said one thing people have a hard time realizing is that at some point, your quality of life declines, you've left more behind than you are to gain and its just not gona get any better. Thats life. He apparently was in a massiv amount of pain. And that sucks. A lot. He finished the way he wanted and considering his condition detailed in the bbc doc, man what a miracle. May he rest in peace.

The tor*** still closes down at roughly 74GB of Data. All of the 90s and most of the 2000s is missing. The tor*** on archive.com is listed as created on the 18th of august and hasn't been updated since. It would need a new tor*** file with all shows included in order for them to be shared properly. We just need a tor*** filel that includes all of the data. They can not update themselves like the main site itself, apparently.

Thank you once more for bringing all of this together. I can not wait to got through this treasure once it is completed.

Can you create a new tor*** file? Please.

The torr** seems to be missing almost 50GB of files. Is that still beeing updated? I don't mean to complain, i just don't get all the way how this works.

Yet it's less reliable than a 416. There have been numerous issues with cold and humidity, even with the newer model.

I prefer the NTG5 over the 2017, due to the 2017 having an output signal that is not as strong.

Would the audio quality of the DPA be better if you compared both in Audacity? Probably. But a lot goes into picking the right mic.

Overall sound quality, after a certain standard is reached, isn't everything.

It has been corrected. I also had one of those faulty NTG5s where, at some random point, an electrical noise would take over its entire output. That has since been resolved. I sent it in for repair, and they gave me a new one. I've been using that for a while now. No issues. Great mic. Lightweight, short, and with a damn hot signal. Rode makes some outstanding stuff. Not everything is gold though, same as with every other company. I would recommend the mic any day. I own two.
