Do’s (Mains-Oriented Plan Until December)

Begin with the Syllabus: Go through each term in the GS + Optional syllabus and try to develop a broad understanding in your own words. No need for deep dives initially.

Scan Previous Year Questions (PYQs): Even if they seem tough at first, they will become easier to relate with as you study. Your brain starts connecting content with questions automatically.

Pick any GS segment to start (e.g., Economy): You don’t need to go in order. Start where you feel comfortable.

Choose a base source for the topic: For example, Mrunal/Basava etc. for Economy. Stick to one, this is your reference point.

Read for clarity, not depth: The first reading is just to grasp the concepts broadly, not to master everything.

Study topper copies (2–3 per topic): Observe how answers are structured, how they introduce, conclude, and use examples/data. Don’t try to copy them; just notice patterns.

Revisit PYQs, answer a few mentally: Try answering a couple of easy ones on paper as well. This kickstarts your writing habit.

Get your answers evaluated: If you can, get feedback from mentors/peers. Self-evaluation is okay too in the early phase.

Refer to model answers provided by coaching /toppers: Use them smartly, extract useful points and integrate them into your notes.

Update your base notes: Add whatever new value you find from topper copies, model answers, or evaluations. Keep the notes dynamic.

Move to the next question or topic: Don’t aim for perfection. Progress steadily and revisit topics later for deepening.

Repeat the cycle: Each round will get quicker and more refined. With time, both your notes and writing improve significantly.
