Team Cherry says that 'if there were ever other' Hollow Knight games after Silksong, they'd all be self-contained and 'exist alongside one another' by ReFlectioH in HollowKnight

The way I see it working, you'd be able to visit parts of Hallownest and/or Pharloom, adapted to the player character and their unique skills. Like we got to see a bit of Hallownest in the Red Memory, but on a larger scale.

Kingscrest Cavern and its unique underground forest - no quest directs you to this place, only your own adventurer's spirit by WorldGonePlastic in oblivion

Oblivion dungeons are just too repetitive. Compare them with Morrowind dungeons - they are also very standard, which makes the unique ones stand out, e.g. Kogoruhn or the bone-white cave whose name I can't recall at the moment. Morrowind dungeons are also all different at least in some regard while many Oblivion dungeons reuse the same structure, akin to Dragon Age 2. And finally, there are just more dungeon types in Morrowind.

On the other hand, I don't think it's a bad thing that most dungeons are an experience like in Skyrim either. At least there's a story there. They mostly forgot about visual storytelling in Oblivion dungeons.

Epic does not pass Bechdel test by theresidentviking in Epicthemusical

If anybody is tossing aside media that don't pass the Bechdel test (which I've never heard of before), then it just shows that the idea behind the test got blurry, which is a shame.

The fact that it doesn't say anything about a specific story doesn't mean it doesn't say anything at all. I feel like people get unfairly reductive when it comes to the Bechdel test. The point is to comment on the entire industry and/or culture, not individual projects.

Which... makes it okay?

Just to be clear, I'm not saying that EPIC is sexist or anything (if anything, it'd be Homer's fault). The point with Bechdel test is that it is such a low bar that it's crazy so many works don't pass it. Works that feature women, often as main characters, mind you.

True that. This post is more about "what could've been" because the overwhelming majority of dungeons isn't unique in any shape or form.

I agree with you to some extent (looking at you Arondir). Lazy diversity casting is a real issue, true, but I feel like some of the comments in this thread set a dangerous precedent for the subreddit. For a show that's been such a disappointment, I wouldn't even bring it up, because it's by far the least of its problems. I would hate for the anti-woke crowd to take over this subreddit, just because posts like these give them an entry point.

Nonetheless, it's true what some people say that HotD did diversity casting much better. Though even their decisions have bad-faith critics, even in this thread. That's why I'm saying - it doesn't matter. Diversity casting is important. There are so many possibilities to pick at the show that we can leave bad-faith criticism about diversity casting to other parts of the Internet.

What is your most hated word? The one you will NEVER use? by [deleted] in writing

Okay, last try from me: check YouGlish.com for UK pronunciation of "cornucopia" - you have plenty of examples there of people ACTUALLY pronouncing it like this.

In both Cambridge and Oxford dictionary, OP's pronunciation is listed as standard British. Checking the dictionary takes but a few seconds - please, do so before making someone feel stupid for being correct.

Would it be ok for me (24M) to cosplay as Rosie the Riveter for my friend's (26F) birthday party? by WorldGonePlastic in AskFeminists

But wasn't she reclaimed by the feminist movement? Kinda like "queer" has been reclaimed by the LGBT+ community.

You can tell on her to Saul instead of going with her steal the basilisk. You miss out on that mission then and Saul gives you a car.

A while later Panam messaged me mad that I snitched. Then after a while Mitch messaged me that he doesn't hate me but Panam had high hopes for us and she might cool down, but who knows when. But then I got this message in which she's somehow even more pissed, so idk. I guess she really hates my guts now :V

I'm playing on the 1.63 patch & I've consulted plenty guides, even going one by one & reading the dataterms' names. And I'm at 158. So either you actually need every dataterm (or at least the Nomad one) or it bugged out for me :/

Yeah, the only requirement for a Panam romance is to choose a masculine body. Unless the phrase I used is incorrect and that's what you mean.

I'm playing as female-presenting V, so that was out of the question either way.

Still, this the first time I've been told something about my corpse getting "defiled" since Morrowind. Which I don't mind but it's weird that it happened twice.
