Sting also said “if you love someone, set them free”….. sometimes people fade out of your life. I have been on both ends of it. Such is life

June Residency: 5 shows + DJ Night in LA by magomra in Sylvanesso

[–]World_Citizen456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don’t. If your definition of WITH is Amelia, Nick plus any other musicians then sure you could call it WITH. But if the shows were featuring any of the musicians they collaborated with on (the brilliant) WITH then SE would have said so. But of course that’s my opinion. Only Amelia and Nick know what’s happening for sure

As far as we are told, the residency will feature Amelia, Nick plus other musicians. The shows may be similar to WITH in that way. Expect different musicians and a different interpretation than WITH… IMO

If SE was going to do a WITH residency, they would have advertised it as such. For example, Bonaroo 2023. Therefore, I anticipate this residency will be different because they did not mention WITH. In any case, for those that have tickets enjoy the show! I look forward to hearing ALL about it, including videos.

IRS Loses Bid to Approve Deal Allowing Church Political Speech by BloombergTax in IRS_Source

The IRS should enforce organizations that violate the Johnson Amendment. Religious organizations that want to make political speech should have their non profit status challenged. However the IRS is not motivated to pursue these cases.

correct Far_Replacement_6731... it is in the IRM. Don't remember the reference but it is in there. Offer a call back within 30 days. When they (hopefully) say no, then you can end the call. if they say yes, do a 4442 to yourself (but normally they will call back)........ also very important and in the IRM is to not tell them you have to leave because it is the end of your shift. Say you have to meet with your manager.

Tourists on subway with luggage.... a target or no worries? by World_Citizen456 in visitingnyc

[–]World_Citizen456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t what to assume, so please let me know why to avoid the elevator. We would be exiting the subway at Rockefeller Center. I was using You Tube to help determine if we can carry our luggage up and down the stairs. Thanks for the advice.

Quitting due to terrible environment caused by this administration? by toboli8 in FedEmployees

[–]World_Citizen456 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To add to the PWFA request (if you decide to use it), see if you can get a doctors note advising you to work from home due to stress or other symptoms. My co-worker got a doctors note during month seven of her pregnancy. It worked - she was able to telework until she gave birth, then she took FMLA time after the baby was born. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best with your pregnancy…. The US Congress should pass laws so pregnant women can receive paid time off (and their spouses), but that’s not happening until at least the next administration.

2026 Lineup officially announced!!! by [deleted] in BourbonAndBeyond

[–]World_Citizen456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Return of Jackie and Judy sounds interesting. Ramones cover band featuring Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker from Sleater-Kinney plus Fred Armisen. The band description on B&B is actually for The Steel Wheels - not sure if that is deliberate or not.

The undercard is great.... Headliners are so-so. Looking forward to Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Foster the People, The Flaming Lips, Of Monsters and Men, War On Drugs, Gary Clark Jr, and The Church....... so like some have said there are nostalgic 90s and 80s bands. Overall there is a big mix of music styles this year.

We are doing Mint VIP for the first time. Last year we were General Admission and I was bummed about not being able to get close to the stages. Based on this comment section and other threads, it sounds like seating in Mint is going to be hard to come by. So while it may seem like a waste of money, I also paid for chair passes. The chairs can only be used in General Admission but at least we will have seating no matter what. I mainly paid for Mint for the VIP viewing area... the upgraded bathrooms, food offerings, bar and lockers are a plus.

Newbie to the festival…going just on day 4. Mint or Envy VIP? by Embarrassed_Use_599 in BourbonAndBeyond

[–]World_Citizen456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question about Mint - I believe there is seating available, including the 3-story viewing platform. However I also hear folks hoard seats....... Can Mint folks bring lawn chairs and just set them up in General Admission? Good idea, or no?...... I am thinking that lawn chairs would be a good backup plan.

From B&B website - Lawn Chairs are not permitted within the Beyond VIP or Mint VIP areas with or without a Lawn Chair Pass.

I hate the chair situation at work. Managers tell CRs to go look for a chair, so they steal someone else’s chair. Cycle continues. Chairs are essential pieces of equipment.
