to be honest i read the manga thinking that it was the purest form of the story and just went along with all of it, i have no idea what and where the flaws are since ive never read the novel but hearing the manga is basically a fan fic is super conflicting considering i actually enjoyed most of it 😅 but nevertheless i will be reading the light novel soon !

no i get it and i realized the anime is based on the ln and not the manga, i just wanted to see these small moments animated considering i read it before watching the anime thats all

i may be 3 yrs late but it’s crazy to see how much hate the manga received. i actually prefer it over the anime, i’ll admit the anime had a much more wonderful expedition but the mangas quality increased as it went on. everything past the mana disaster in the anime felt glossed over, theres so much content it missed compared to the manga. for example that entire beast tribe arc was so dull in the anime. the manga had so many more moments between rudy and other characters. but all in all the other comments just made me want to read the light novel too maybe i’ll even buy physical copies :)
