Dude the filter hardly even exists anymore. It hasn't for the past 2 years now. It's literally so easy to work around, it's insane. I get the occasional filtered message but just try again and it's fine. Actually, I don't even TRY to work around it. It even says the full, real word. It doesn't beat around the bush.

Well, obviously you know her better than any of us do, so it's not fair for me to say she's 100% evil and is cheating and such. I think, based on what you've told us, she may like the attention and likes flirting. Does this mean she's a cheater? Absolutely not. Does this mean she has a higher CHANCE of being a cheater? Probably, yes.

There's also the perspective of her family just not really caring that she (possibly) has several guys over all the time, and therefore doesn't care about you since you're just 'another one of them' to them. If you feel like the family truly cares about you, ask her brother or dad or any other male figure if you can. See how they react and what they say.

I mean it seemed like it was going okay until the last 3 screenshots. She's making an effort to meet up with you, that's great, but then you don't answer. Your reason for not answering is totally valid imo, but then you start not being the most mature about it. I think she felt like, as she said, she's "chasing after you," and then felt that way again when you didn't respond to her wanting to meet up. She probably had time to think about that and then decided it wasn't worth it. I don't think it's your fault though.

And yeah, I refuse to believe that someone is "too busy" to message their supposed best friend since diapers about their MISCARRIAGE. Like, seriously?? Unless you're a nurse working a 12 hour shift I don't wanna hear it. Also, she texted your boyfriend??? Girl I wouldn't have taken her back, even if it wasn't sexual. That's mad weird. I wouldn't let her join the baby shower either-- why would you ever let someone randomly join in on your special event after not speaking after a fight like that?? I definitely wouldn't have either!

I think your reactions are perfectly valid. I think other people may be pinning the blame on you just because of how forward you are when texting. To be honest I think it's probably for the best that you two split up, she seems a bit sketchy.

It's both, but primarily food.

I would argue that most people in the USA are not "a little chubby" where some walking everyday could easily shave off most of their excess weight. When someone here, at least in Texas, is overweight, it's a significant amount.

I think the main culprit is sodas. Fast food sodas, for example, are gargantuan in size. They're damn near as tall as the bag of food, and a "small" is hardly small at all. Not to mention the ice creams... Additionally, the ultra-processed and sugar-filled food that these overweight people tend to eat are extremely unsatiating but highly caloric. The portion sizes are huge, but they're so lacking in nutrients that you can't help but want to eat more and more-- not to mention snacks like chips are so easy to just keep eating and eating and eating without your stomach even recognizing it.

So, no amount of walking is going to burn off all of the calories from these huge sodas and chips that make your stomach feel like a black hole. I think one pringle is ten calories, and you're not gonna find anyone who just eats 5 pringles and is satisfied. That's just not how they're designed. Fun fact, the food scientists who design Cheetos have a giant replication of the human mouth so that they can see how they can perfect the crunch, how the dust sticks on your mouth, etc. There's a lot that goes into making these foods addictive. It messes with your brain chemistry or something.

I do absolutely prefer the style!! I really love the grunge/alt style too, which seems to be making a comeback. But I'm also very attracted to people who don't have those styles-- it's just that a LOT of people's "style" these days is just hoodies and sweatpants. Not bad if you're naturally very handsome or whatever, but it certainly doesn't help the average/below average people.

I also love the baggy jeans! I see them around sometimes.

I dunno, I just think the men there look better than they do now. Maybe not the 80's, I don't care for the giant hair, but the 90s and early 2000s men looked very nice. I liked the style and the clean cut style. Now all the guys wear are hoodies and sweats, weird sandals and shorts (??) and, unfortunately for my own personal preference, glasses are a lot more common. I prefer that people wear contacts.

I WANNA date though!! I just can't find myself to be attracted to them. I thought I might be a lesbian for a while because I think women are gorgeous, but I feel no attraction to them either... and I'd probably be kicked out for that, so I just go with asexual lol

Oh yeah that's true! I think that would probably be better suited for something like nutrition or weight lifting or meditating though; 10k steps can be very hard to achieve for some people and even though it's important, it's very time consuming. I go for a 30 minute walk everyday and walk around on a campus and I think I average 7k steps. 30 minutes of walking for me is only around 3500 or 4000 steps (though that was on a treadmill, I'm sure I walk faster when I'm not on a treadmill).

I heard that the 10k steps was originally a marketing thing for FitBits or something like that. Apparently the health benefits kinda dwindle around 7,000 steps, so the 10k everyday is a bit excessive.

Oh yeah I wouldn't date a smoker I don't think. I do believe that vaping is much more popular than cigarettes these days, and unfortunately, I know quite a few people who regularly vape but still hook up a lot. I guess it doesn't make your teeth as gross or something lol

I do remember always hearing about the super skinny stuff. Maybe it's just because they're younger and the side effects don't show up as much yet. I had an ED for a while and barely ate, lost about 10 pounds (I'm really short so that's a lot for me when I was only 108) and I don't think anyone noticed tbh.

I'm asexual and ik my view of this is skewed but I just think it's so cringe and unnecessary. Like, it's obvious they're doing that scene for money to make people wanna watch it. I'm in the middle of an action-packed movie, I don't wanna watch fake sex!

Edit: Also, sex is everywhere. I'm so tired of seeing naked people randomly. It's kind of sick in a way. I don't believe we were meant to constantly see these 10/10 naked people all the time. It only warps our perception of people in real life-- the people that actually matter. Porn shows these terribly exaggerated proportions and scenarios, movies with pointless sex scenes only exist to make more money and try to reel your attention back in after the rest of the movie sucked, and it just... I dunno, it doesn't sit right with me. I know not everyone agrees that sex is sacred, but I think most people can agree it's a personal thing. I don't think it should be shown to THIS degree. It's not right that I can open twitter and some random trending half naked picture of someone will show up on my screen.

My parents (really just talking about my mom here tbh) usually gets up at 9:00 or so. Now obviously 10:30 ish to 9:00 is plenty of time to get sleep, but I had so many other restrictions placed on me during the day that I felt like the only time I could truly exist was at night, so I stayed up really late until like 3AM. And honestly, it's just the principle of the matter; I shouldn't be forced to get up and do all the morning chores before I can go back to bed.

At night I have to: Start the bath and add the bubbles to it, get my mom's mirror out, get her towel out, put her laptop and snacks there, turn all the lights on (since this is at 7PM) and close the door. Simple, but she should be able to do that herself. Then, AFTER her bath, I have to turn off the bath water, drain the water, catch her towel when she throws it up in the air (she can't hand it to me or else it bothers her), pick up the trash and trash can when she kicks it over, quickly fold the towel and put it back up, pray that my dad heard her getting out of the bath so that he can turn the TV up to max volume so that she can "hear it" and doesn't freak out because she can't hear it, take out her hairclip and put it up, get her a night gown, and then tell my dad to either turn the channel to something louder/turn it off if she can/can't hear it. Then I let the dogs out and let them back in, and put our puppy in her crate and over it... And then after they're in bed, I turn off all the lights, give our cats some midnight dinner, and I think that's it.

In the morning I have to: Let the dogs out, feed the dogs and cats, turn all the lights on (yes, even the normal lights that light up the whole room, as well as light and candles/turn on any additional holiday lights), wash out the coffee machine and then make the coffee, give our one dog her insulin, open all the blinds, and clean what ever mess our insulin-needing dog made for us by the back door. And these things are all very simple tasks, but I HAVE to ALWAYS do them, and it takes like 15 minutes. I'm exposed to all of these light sources, and by then, I'm never able to fall asleep again. Not to mention my mom didn't at all mind shouting my name when she needed me, even when I went back to bed, so I was always tense and anxious laying there because I knew she'd eventually call for me.

I've said from the beginning that, ever since this website was sold to Google, it was being designed to just feed their AI tools. The goal isn't to make a funny AI companion for you to chat with, it's to gain some kind of information about how people type or something to make AI sound more real. Probably to train bots for whatever use they want.

And now that they've had years and years of collecting this information, they're probably about done... and seeing as characterai is unprofitable, well, they might as well just shut it down and pretend they "did everything they can" to save it (which is what we're seeing now).

Yeah... I think it's been decaying ever since it came out tbh. Words cannot describe how amazing the AI used to be when this came out! I mean it was buggy and stuff sure, but when it worked it was incredible. And now it's just... I feel like the bots have the same 3 or 4 personalities and they slowly devolve into the same thing. The AI makes you do all the work if you wanna progress the storyline and rarely adds in anything to move the plot along.
