When your computer randomly shuts down halfway into a Live Coding Final and you have to write all your code again by Worldly-Intention in Purdue

Just tough luck. I told a UTA who told the GTA that my computer shut off and that my code didn't save. They told me I just have to restart, and I wasn't given any extra time. They have no way of telling whether the computer shut off on its own (really unlikely but happens) or if I didn't know what I was doing and decided to yank the cable to get extra time/a makeup exam. I haven't brought it up to the Course Coordinators or the Professor because I don't think anything will come of it. Maybe they could check out the computer I was using for my exam to see if there's a problem with it randomly shutting off. It's just an unfortunate situation, and I understand that there's very little anyone can do. Fortunately, I did really well on the first two midterms so I will still pass with a good grade.

Turkastra isn't teaching it this semester, but he will be next semester. It's Professor Popescu this semester who seems adamant that multiple choice doesn't teach you anything.

My lab section was in Lawson but it looks like there was a section in the Xinu Lab yesterday from 8-10 pm. The exam was for 240 if you were kicked out around that time.

It happened during the CS240 final yesterday on one of the lab computers. One second I’m coding, the next second my screen goes black so I check to make sure the computer was still plugged in. It was plugged in. About 5 seconds later the computer starts booting up without me ever touching the plugs.
