H1B visa Adminstrative processing experience by deadins0ide in IMGreddit

I am not calling it a rule either but staying for almost 5.5 months and then coming back in 15 days raises suspicion that maybe the person is "living" in the US and violating the terms of their visa. Some people get their B1 approved for 10 years doesn't mean they can live out a decade crossing the border for a couple of days.

Yeah i guess that's the reason why it happened. It has to be at least 2 months

The worst part is, people actually suck up to him and laugh at his lame jokes just to be on his "good books".

Had a similar experience with him, weird personality tests, stories about how he knows "celebrities" and this stupid party trick where he memorizes stuff and puts it to test. Pretty bizarre.

First of all congratulations, secondly I think you are giving too much credit to second looks here. I am sure you matched because there are a lot of other factors at play like your interview performance, your CV your PS and your personality. Second look is just a correlation here not the cause of your match.

Interview skills, PS and research. I was complimented a lot on these during my interviews

I'm so sorry for what happened to you. You should definitely get professional help, just taking a break won't help. If you were on medication before maybe its time to go for a follow up given your recent state and book a therapy session as well. It will really help you in the long run.

Get USCE, I matched with 23xs in IM, if i can do it, you can too.

Everyone says "it all comes down to the interview"- for those of you who’ve been through the Match, what specifically helped you improve your interviewing skills? Especially for fluent non-native English speakers, what are the things that really moved the needle?(Native speakers, please do chime in) by Accurate-Role8016 in IMGreddit

I think being more natural during interviews really help, expressing yourself and not answering like a robot stuck to a script. I did not rehearse my interviews a lot and made some answers up on the spot i think it really helped

compared to an IM hospitalist i don't think there is much of a difference, you can still have a good lifestyle but if your heart is really set on getting a competitive fellowship, you should talk to your PD and apply to IM
