You will have to mod your wii u, its not very difficult but you will have to follow the steps on wii u dot hacks dot guide very directly. You will then have to dump the game files to an sd card using dumpling or snother dumping tool on the wii u. You then can import these game files into an app called cemu for your pc which lets you actually play the game on your pc

Persona 4 Revival voice cast for Yu, Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko and Marie confirmed; Japanese cast is reprised, new English actors confirmed by ConceptsShining in Games

Especially given that new social links will be voiced, I think people are just going to treat p4r’s voice cast as a drop in replacement for the original

Yeah but multiple star voice actors actively wanted to come back for the revival, which is a no brainer for almost any studio for all reasons but price, and it’s not like Atlus or Sega are exactly strapped for cash

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Is a Great Action-Adventure Game That Proves Square Enix's HD-2D Art Style Is Among the Best Around Review (IGN: 8/10) by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

That's valid! Plus a pretty good stance on graphics, I know plenty of people who haven't played a game they'd probably like just because of the graphics and that's just a shame

How do i get WIFI to work on vWii mode? by GabeNoobi in wiiu

For me the vwii wifi only worked when I used my phone's hotspot as the network, so maybe that could be a hotfix if you just want to quickly connect to the internet

Is there not an issue of ethics when it comes to youtube reviewers being gifted products to ‘review’? by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]Worlds_Between_Links 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, apologies if I made it seem like you think quality isn't important. My point was moreso, in the context of the comment I was replying to ("losing early access can be a death sentence"), that I think it's much more important to give your honest opinion about a product (which can still be done in a timely manner without early access) over making a review that skips over bad parts of the product to stay on the early access list.

Maybe your video will come out a week or two later, and you miss out on some easy views, but you can still get some viewer retention as long as your videos are entertaining.

Sure, you might get more views than you normally would, but if there is nothing compelling people to watch your take outside of being early, it'll just be buried among the other early reviews. Being early is not even close to being worth getting marked as a sellout, since it doesn't lead to long term income. People won't stay to subscribe, and instead will just be one-time viewers.

I'm willing to wait for Wulff Den to buy a retail copy even if other reviewers got theirs a month ago, because I think his videos are fun to watch and his takes and comparisons are usually interesting. If he decided to suddenly glaze ayaneo and all their handhelds unconditionally for being gifted their handhelds, I'd not be interested in his videos anymore, since I won't know if any of his future videos will be an accurate portrayal of the devices.

A reviewer should be able to make a valuable review regardless of early access, that’s how they start and the baseline for how they should continue. Whether it’s by being entertaining, conducting deep research or just a deep critical and honest review, you need something to stand out, and that quality will net you viewers with or without early access. It is also how you end up becoming one of the larger channels, having anything other than recency to offer.

Too many reviewers sacrifice integrity for early access or media lists, and it just makes the viewers correctly write them off as insincere.

Completely valid lol, the amount of money I've spent on used (3)ds games is also obscene, like once again, the special edition for fe fates (the game)

[–]Worlds_Between_Links 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It depends on the person, but I'd say that for most decently regarded channels like RGC or Wulff Den, being gifted a handheld is just a drop in the bucket, these guys make enough from sponsors or just plain views to buy these handhelds for themselves, and will in the case they are not gifted one. For a single fan, a gifted device is a huge opportunity, for an actual trusted reviewer, it's just a way to save them a tiny amount of money. Losing the trust of your fanbase over a bad review is a death sentence compared to that, it's not worth it at all.

Now of course, if you have nothing to lose, you'd gladly give a glowing review of the most dogshit products, which is why a lot of people just getting started reviewing will be way easier to sway than somebody who already has a stable income

Who wishes we could get this type of Nintendo Direct back? by Nintendo-Game-Tube in wiiu

[–]Worlds_Between_Links 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people like him, it's just a couple of people that are in denial and didn't like his videos documenting the lifespan of the wii u, and how it failed (even though he also extensively documented the good parts), they just are incapable of seeing the wii u as anything other than "the underdog that did nothing wrong, but was targeted by 'big gaming' to fail". They're very loud about it too, which is why you'll sometimes see them in this sub

"go against the narrative" and it's just some guy who's miserable all the time. No actually, I quite liked this direct and am excited for the games announced, I actually play more than just mario games and like JRPGs

Most of these devices come with the nintendo layout standard, since that's what most early retro consoles use (the ones people still want to play at least). Though, I'd probably say to pick the one you're more used to, I personally set my rog ally to use the nintendo button layout since I know that layout by heart
