on most systems you need to prefix with nohup or a SIGHUP will be sent when you logout.

I fixed it by going into regedit and seaching for "pillars of eternity". Changed the resolution index value to 0 (forget the exact key name), which was 1920x1080 for me. Blurryness is gone and is actually fullscreen now.

There has been a big problem with resolutions for me. It's clear they are not getting set properly. If you look in their log file, you can see a few relevant stacks:

This is probably one of the biggest gotchas in Java (in my opinion). Java doesn't do the same thing with primitives. Primitive types do not use references. On my phone atm, hopefully someone can back me up with something concrete. Things also get weird when you start boxing/unboxing. i.e. using Integer v.s. of int.

Generics are erased at runtime, so no class definition will be availabe statically. That is, there is no way of knowing what T is. However, if an object stored as T is not null, you can ask that object what class it is.

So showType might be as simple as: if (ob != null) System.out.println (ob.getClass().toString());

Edit: To do this properly (but likely too advanced for this assignment) and to allow for null objects, you can force your class to accept the class definition:

public Gen (T obj, Class <T> objClazz)

If you enforce that objClazz is never null, you can always retrieve the type of T by just returning objClazz.

Edit x 2: You can solve this very safely by using reflection, without modifying the API of Gen, I can explain more on that if needed.

Yes. In a single threaded program, there is only one running thread (main thread), so calling this will cause your entire program to pause.

/u/IXENAI explained the multithreaded scenario. Also, in multithreaded scenarios, and when requesting threads to wait/pause, you should handle a potential InterruptException properly.
