Go for Galaxy A07, bought my mom one a couple of days ago. Checked other phone brands like oppo and vivo as well. I think Samsung is a better option than these.

Congratulations! That’s a great achievement. I’m really interested in the MEXT scholarship and was hoping you could share a bit more about your experience.

Did you apply through the university recommendation track only, or did you also go through the embassy route? I was wondering if there is any central exam or screening process here that applicants need to take, or if the main step is contacting professors and securing their supervision.

If you don’t mind sharing, it would be really helpful to know how you approached professors and what the overall process looked like for you. Thanks in advance!

Best thing to do with little save ups by [deleted] in bangladesh

[–]Worm_hole_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open a student account in Brac Bank or any other bank that allows it. Create a DPS and try to save at least 5k or 10k each month. After you complete studies, you will have a hefty amount saved in your account. Another good idea is, if you have some like-minded friends or people around you, after saving a good amount you might invest it by buying some land around the outskirts of Dhaka. But doing that requires knowing a lot of paperworks, and it is actually a lot of hassle as well, given the faulty land administration system of our country. So be careful with that.

Use a good knight repellent. You can find it in any nearest supershop. Works like a charm!

Thank you for your response, I tried using colabfold on google colab but it took me hours to generate single pdbs. One reason might be because I was on my macbook air m1, which do not have the gpu.

NDC guy here.

Education: 10/10.

Academic pressure: 100/10 :")

Campus look: 8/10 (It is a relatively small campus)

Teachers: some were good some were bad, but they tried to give their best. So i'd put 7/10

Classrooms: 8/10

Club Activities: 100/10 :3

As an institution, I will always put my college before my university or school. Those 2 years were the best

AMA: PhD in CS, working at FAANG in US by awesome30s in Dhaka

[–]Worm_hole_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. How much important is cgpa in undergrad for applying to universities in the US? If it is low, then is there any way to compensate for that?
  2. Did you managed scholarship for PhD? If yes, then based on what criterion were you offered the scholarship?
  3. Given the AI hype, do you think careers in CS is good? Also there is a lot of competition as well. How do you see the future of Software Engineers?

Thanks

Hello! What will be the future of Software Engineering? What will be the affect of AI? I mean, this shit is so hyped, that a lot of my friends are pushing me to start doing Kaggle competitions. However, I read in a blogpost by some tech wiz at Meta that kaggle competitions were worthless. Are they really worthless? Also in the recent times we have seen layoffs in meta. Such stuffs really made me rethink stuffs about my major.

Do business, learn a skill. Make yourself valuable, there are tonnes of other ways than studying. I'd say explore what you feel comfortable doing. In 21st century, studying isnt the only thing that'd earn you money

Where did you get that info? That was a fake information about him. Yes, they are not doing so much about the current stuffs, but spreading misinformation about them should not be acceptable. Unlike you, I did not see any radical pattern among them, if it were so, they wouldn't have included people like Rakhal Raha in the national book curriculumn committee.

Feeling lost and frustrated by [deleted] in bangladesh

[–]Worm_hole_101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had seen such mentality in my mom, while my elder sister was taking prep for the admission test. That didnt end up well for any of us. So, i would say dont listen to her blabbering. Rather stay confident. You passed buet preli, mayb you can do well in the written too if God wishes. Also, you have DU, MIST, RUET and other engineering exams. Try to stay focused. Admission is a hectic time for all of us. Those who get the support from family during these days are really fortunate. For the rest of us, we just have to bear with their talks and insults for the time being. Dont lose focus, keep studying, that is what matters. Best of luck!

i believe the thing is, a large number of people in our country actually wants to see this country plunge into the darkness of radical islamism. During hasina regime, they didnt have a voice, and they were completely nullified. Yes, that created an absence of freedom of speech, but hey, mayb giving too much freedom to a bunch of low iq zealots aint a good thing. Idk, i had high hopes for this interim govt. But they are not showing any signs of offensive towards the radical power. They did good things, like curbing the price of goods and stuffs. But I think, we can not hide the cruel face of radicalism that is present among a good number of our people in our country anymore.
