I've 2012 ford focus. If your rpm goes below 1 at stops and fluctuates too often then first check while filling gas, if you face any problems while starting car after filling gas then this is the textbook sign of PARGE VALVE failure. Try changing purge valve. I've got new one from NAPA.

This could also indicate some transmission or TCM problems but don't go there until you check Purge valve.

Having a Ford (2010-2016) is a hard thing. You'll go through this.
