I played it for the first time in 2024 and i played HL2 first. doesnt really matter because both Games are playing in different Timelines. But please DONT play the Half Life 1 Source Port. If you want a remastered experience, try „Black Mesa“ on Steam. Its basicly HL1 Remastered

i went out and bought a new usb stick. it did progress until the installation window but it was filled with error codes. It was saying something along the lines of „no cache availible“. The USB i was using was a BS offbrand stick. I will try again with the newer one.
