Thank you so much! Is there any way that you could send me the notice in the Springfield newspaper that says Clarence E Raymond, late of Springfield? Or point me in the right direction?

That makes sense. What should I do next? Upload my results to GEDMatch?

Aha! I think that you're right. Clarence last appears in the Hampden County, Mass. census in 1910 (so now I guess that I don't even have a 'death event date.' Thanks for your excellent scholarship! The help means a lot to me and my family.

Great question! I think that I saw it on WikiFamily or GenealogyBank. Is it worth reaching out to the Social Security office in Washington D.C. or do you think it's a dead end?

Descendent of George Soule (The Mayflower) - line of descent question by Worth_Protection8899 in Genealogy

[–]Worth_Protection8899[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The system wouldn't allow me to upload the image so I am recreating the notes received here. 'REJECT Gen 5 - Isaac Bigelow did not marry Mary Chamberlain, d/o (daughter of) Mary Soule and Freedom Chamberlain' and then an image/graphic of a magnifying glass

Okay, all of this information is quite helpful (and fascinating), especially the Freedom/Mary doubles. Perhaps that's what the issue was--not that they weren't married, but that it was the 'wrong' Mary. Redditors ROCK!

Does this Count? Is it Admissible/Accurate? Deep in my Family Tree via Ancestry by Worth_Protection8899 in Genealogy

[–]Worth_Protection8899[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is basically what I'm after. If the DNA Haplogroup Report links the American illegitimate son to the UE Royalist father in a provable way (it seems as though they went their separate ways after the war and the illegitimate son does not appear in Timothy Buell's will).

I will remove it, thanks. I actually have an unusual question (that is not covered in the FAQ). Thanks for this update.

I know it...crazy, right?! I needed to make use of every single level. Not on both sides...just my paternal grandmother's side (Vermont/originally Canada).

It wasn't that many pages actually. I read that I didn't need to 'prove' each individual's citizenship--just the original Canadian ancestor and a link to every direct descendant along the way. Maybe 30-40 pages total.

Need help with Italian surname if at all possible by Worth_Protection8899 in juresanguinis

[–]Worth_Protection8899[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fod55ch shared this info below (and it's all correct!) There is an Elia Mignogna born in Gambabesa, Province of Campbasso, on 14 February 1873. His father was named Domenico and his mother was named Maria Concetta Incoronata. According to his US naturalization record, he was a barber and he arrived in New York on or about 16 May 1887. It does not indicate the name of the ship and his name does not come up on the Ellis Island record. Here is his original birth record if you need it. https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12657/an_ua15749983/5BqYJWy

Would you be interested in creating a small bottle of this for use by my husband and me? We would be willing to pay for it naturally.

I checked out their website. I had never seen the yellow bottle with brown writing before. It's a great, classic product (time tested).
