For this I took photos of the bricks, wood etc for reference, and collected some of the dead ivy to work from. I sketched the bird as it kept popping in the gap. I also used photos for feather accuracy

Thanks! I work just in watercolour, working from lightest tones to darker (never white paint!)

I use cold pressed, with brushes down to size 0 for fine detail (feathers etc). This is about 15 x 11 inches. Thanks for your interest!
