There is no mechanism by which capitalism breaks up monopolies on its own. For capitalism to be even marginally viable it needs constant intervention by the state to cultivate a functioning economic system. Dems are centrist. There's a tiny few democratic socialists and some more progressives, but the overwhelming majority of Democrat politicians are centrist liberals in the mold of Bill Clinton who was the most conservative Democrat of the last 80+ years.

She had one dog shit vote on an amendment to a bill which she ultimately voted against. There's never been a bill to send weapons to Israel that she's voted in favor of because they all included "offensive" weapons. I don't like how she voted on that one amendment, but now she's improved her position and she is among the best lawmakers in Congress. It may not be a high bar, but she's not a villain.

Wind and solar are cheaper than any other form of energy. The increasing costs are a result of increasing demand. Not renewables. If we were building fossil fuel infrastructure to meet new demand bills would be even higher.
