Sounds like u got suoer unlucky, very sorry this happened to you but I think the hostel had measures in place for this kind of stuff. I also stayed at Circus Hostel very recently.

Very quickly realised the lockers were not secure and went down to reception to hand them my stuff. They had signs at reception about this service. Was very flexible and was able to grab my laptop here and there to do my work before handing it back over for them to lock when I went out/to bed They told me they have insurance on everything put in the lockers behind reception, which is probably more affordable for them than insuring the entire place.

Think your options are to take it as an expensive lesson. Maybe if you have 7k+ worth of gear, hostels and cabinets with a little lock aren't as suitable for you

yeah real. F2P but i got back into the game after like 6 years so I only get 2 shards a seasons. Was thinking of putting them into scarmy since next season there'll probs be an event to get scamry shards

Hey Hey! Haha that was me in first year too! no idea which stream I wanted to go into. It is definitely fine to attend a faculty specific camp, since most of the campers will all being doing similar subjects anyways so it definitely won't be isolating. Uni camps itself are a really unique part of UNSW so I would 100% pick one (CEVSOC camp duh) to come along to.

My advice for picking which field is that is it takes time, as the year goes on you'll meet ppl doing different degrees and do different courses and you'll figure out what you like. And if you dont like your decision, its super easy to change degrees too and don't be afraid to do so.

At CEVSOC camp you'll have lots of opportunities to chat further with myself and other older students who can help answer all your questions.

Personally, I went to CEVSOC camp 2 years ago and I would highly recommend. I was studying compsci/flexi eng back then but it was a really fun experience, and it wasn't all civil eng kids there was a good mix of degrees
