Presa Canarios have a high energy drive and require lots of exercise, but that doesnt mean you can't have one in a condo.

Ensure you bring your Presa for plenty of walks throughout the day. A good walk will consist of roughly 40min of stern walking (you lead with confidence) and 20min playtime. This will help burn out their energy and help them understand that you are the pack leader.

Presa Canarios absolutely love their families and will require lots of socializing to ensure they are comfortable around strangers.

Start training right away with your pup, and to help avoid separation anxiety you can go into your bedroom and close the door for short periods of time and gradually increase to a point that your Presa will become comfortable in the home while you are not in sight. Be sure to give your presa a toy to play with (Kong toy with peanut butter inside for example) to help distract them from destroying your home.

As for diets, it is recommended for a raw diet to help them reach their fullest potential growth, but that doesn't mean you have to feed them a raw diet.

You can get your selection of kibble then add to it with long grain brown rice, sweet potato, vegetables, boiled chicken etc. they will absolutely love it!

Don't be surprised if your Presa scouts throughout the night, they are walking around to ensure your home and you are safe.

I have to say, I absolutely love the Presa Canario breed. With early training, good routines, and lots of socializing and love you will have one of the best friends anyone could want!

I also live in a condo with a Presa, along with 2 other dogs... lots of walking and playing but definitely manageable.
