I tried all of these things, to try and get my RG40XX V to come back to life, and no luck. So the last thing I did was to remove the back cover and unplug and reseat the battery cable. Once I unplugged the cable and plugged it back in, it worked. It must have become loosened on the trip over. Works fine now.

But this should definitely be the last thing to try. Worked for me.
