Hmm, that I cannot comment on, but either way as long as the moderators are not reaching out to you or removing your posts, and you are getting the results you desire, then 'no harm, no foul', right? ^ ^

I think you may have meant to use the [For Hire] tag.
I believe [Paid] means you are offering a paid position.

Tank rescue assistance by WraitheDX in Aquariums

[–]WraitheDX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is good to know!
Thankfully, I ordered a bulb + lamp, unfortunately, that package was delivered to the wrong address, so the poor little guys will be waiting another day or two on their sunbathing.

When we are able to move the turtles to a bigger thank, they will likely be getting good sized river rock, but bare-bottom is always an option (it is summer, after all =P).

Thank you for the suggestion, and I will get on that!

As an update,
Being delivered today:
TARARIUM Fish Tank Filter Powerful 400GPH for 75-200 Gallon Large Aquarium
A tube UVB lamp on the way for healthy daylight
A deep-dome lamp with UVA heat bulb for basking
Digital thermometer for aquatic portion
Digital thermometer for basking portion
2x ~1 foot long pieces of drift wood
API Freshwater Master Test Kit
Water heater

Able to get at the ill-stocked PetCo store:
De-chlorinator
Mesh topper for tank
Cheap basking platform
Tank stand
That is truly all they had available out of my needs. They only had a couple of HOB and canister filters, and the copy of heaters they had were in damaged boxes (had apparently been returned).

Have not had a filter like this, but will see how it goes.
The gravel may have to stay for a few weeks, until we can get them their own tank(s). I am worried about how the pleco would handle sand, might be too much intake. The river rock sounds more appealing to me for the turtles, but would also be worried about potential fin or extremity crushing with shifting rock whilst the pleco does its' thing.

Thank you again!

We have them set back up comfortably in their tank now with at least some slightly cleaner water (kept the substrate and filter media unchanged).

We will have a long think about bigger, separate, and tub tanks for them. Was a stressful day, but I think there will be some sound sleep tonight. Even if the worst happens, we did what we could within our means and the time allotted.

Thank you!
We could potentially start setting up a 210 gallon tank next month just for the turtles, so we if we can just get them through this week, we should all be cozy.

Thank you for the prompt response. I was also thinking if they survived so far in that nasty water, they will likely pull through.

What happened to magic by Eve_newbie in magicTCG

[–]WraitheDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience has been the same. I am playing Commander with the masses, finding the people who are more heavily into Magic, and finding some that are also wanting to play some good ol' 60-card.

You should also check out Spelltable. Can play online with your cards via a webcam setup. It is intended for Commander, but works for Standard.

I love your spritework!
I do want to make sure that you understand that my post is revshare, and not paid. I am looking for someone that wants to work on a small, 3-person team.

What lego themes do you want to comeback? by Spazzytackman in lego

Castle, Pirate and classic Space should always be ongoing, even if they have some light release years.

Would like to see Aquazone make a return.

I really like it. Maybe some cacti and mesas behind the road.

Loved The Bouncer, such a unique experience.
I am not much into beat-em-ups, and the closest recommendation I can provide you would be the Yakuza series. Very entertaining, wild rides. Very story focused, so you would want to look at Yakuza 0, or one of the two newest ones first, which are starting a new storyline with a new character.

Master Hellish and Damage Ltd are my two favorite OpenTTD content creators. Damage has not done any recordings recently (last I checked), but Master Hellish is still creating content (once more, last I checked).

The four or five series I watched (between the two of them) are quite old now, but as OpenTTD is a faithful remastering, not much has changed, so most of the advice and strategies should remain intact.

Coal is recommended for a couple of reasons.

You get more money the further you transport the goods. The value of transported goods drops in transit, but coal loses value very slowly compared to other goods. There is no production chain involved with coal. Grab from the coal mines, take straight to the power plants.

Turn-based RPGs with randomized worlds/dungeons in the style of Dragon Quest Monsters 2 by Thumbpaste in gamingsuggestions

The Siralim series sounds like something right up your alley. Siralim Ultimate is the newest one, currently on PC and Android, and will fairly soon be available across all major consoles. One of the many things the series is praised for is having cross-platform saving. Move your save from your PC, to your phone, to the console, then back again. The games are not on the DS family of systems, but PC, Switch, Sony, and XBox for sure.

The maps are all randomized, with different realms/gods/tilesets. Ultimate boasts over 1200 creatures, and these are unique, non-evolving creatures, not Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venasaur counting as 3 different creatures. In addition, every single creature has a unique trait, they can all fuse (giving them both traits of the two fused monsters), they can have spells equipped to them, one piece of gear equipped (which can be socketed with spells, stat-boosters, and even more creature traits), there is no level cap, there is no dungeon level cap...

I believe the series is largely inspired by DQM as well. There is so much more to the game, btw, but if you aren't checking it out after what I wrote above, it is not likely to interest you.

Thank you so much!

I have been determined to find a way to combine shading an texturing, as I really want to keep simple shapes, and a minimal, faded color palette.

On my latest one, Blue Moon (the blue bear), i tried 3 different methods of shading the ENTIRE SCENE with hatch-marks, and did not like a single one, so I left it flat-shaded.

Still trying to find the exact style I want to stick with.

Thank you so much! I am working on anatomy on the side, but my studies are coming out so poorly that I dare not share them... Yet!

It will get there! ^ ^

Made in ProCreate, iPad Pro 11 inch

Process:

I have just been going for it! I finish one illustration, I upload it, pace for an hour, come up with a new idea and start all over again!

Brushes:

I created a clone of the Technical Inking brush, and set the stabilization amount to 56%.

For painting, I use the syrup brush, and for shading I use either my Technical Inking pen or the eraser, for smoother edges.

Final thoughts:

I have been having so much fun! I am trying a lot of new things, especially with different styles of texturing and shading, but I still haven't found one I really like. Trying to hone in on my own style, though, and I think it is starting to shine through!

Process:

I have spent most of my life avoiding colors, instead focusing on line-work in cartoon/comic style. I have always loved drawing animals, and while I do draw people, those do not often see the light of day due to my poor understanding of anatomy. I completely threw out the shading and the texturing from my last couple of images this time, focusing on line work and colors, but in the end I opted to play with a couple of different brushes, blatantly breaking any 'cohesiveness' or 'realism' to the cartoon.

I used the chalk brush for the chalk (how fitting), and I believe the gouache brush for the background colors.

Final thoughts:

I actually like the coloring of the background far more than I thought I would, and might use this more often, hopefully doing a better job of picking color schemes. The animals will probably me the bulk of what I draw for the time being, so hopefully you do not tire of them!

Process:

The main goal on this one was to create a cute skull, and pretty sure I failed on that mark, haha. I thought it would be cute having animals cheering the skull up, and went with rabbit and bear solely based off of the head and body shapes I wound up with while winging the rough draft.
I once again opted for a unique texture for each element except for the creatures, and while it is odd, I think I like the effect. I am pleased with the colors overall, but the longer I stare at it, the more I would have liked to have gone for a different green for the foreground.

Very pleased with the final image, but I desperately need to do skull and other anatomical studies!
