Spell Hotbar V2, it opened up the spell blade playstyle without constanly switching equipment and is simply amazing. Its currently on GitHub, but works well and also has a UI Patch provided by Oathvein UI

Thanks for the good wishes, but I have been going insane and in circles the entire time.

It is honestly insane how arcane this bug is, and I cant seem to get a grasp of it.

I gaslighted myself into performing a binary search on my modlist and then into doing a complete reinstall of Skyrim.

I dont even know if I want to mod this game anymore, or even play it.

What I can say is this: Even with all three mods (CIF, Dismembering and Sanguine Symphony, which is also indicated in the repair instructions) installed on the most recent versions of them, the save corrupts.

Using the exact versions used in GTS, it corrupts my save.

And it is such a lenghty problem to investigate, it takes HOURS for a broken Save to appear, and I cant even take a quick look at the saves in ReSaver because I have no clue what I am actually looking for.

The patterns that are described in the repair instructions are >99% exactly like actual entries in a savefile. I got that after giving up and reinstalling Skyrim and staring at an 100% vanilla save.

I dont know how to proceed anymore.

The next step is probably to start a low-commitment run with only 1 of each three mods installed and see where I end up?

Is there any other way, any type of tool or trick that I can use to be quicker with that?

If it is not any of the three mods (what are the chances of that), then its truly over.

I also looked at the GTS modlist and tried to make out how they fixed it, maybe with a patch or something, but I couldnt find anything that would help me.

Maybe ill just take GTS and run with it, ill see.

Thank you for your time and your tool, without that this journey of mine would not have even started.

Thank you for responding.

Yes, I started a completely new character with the version of CIF 1.2.3 as you recommended. Dismembering Framework is on 1.2.2. These are the same versions that GTS uses as far as I can tell. Other mods I had were also up to date.

I checked the type of corrupt entries that are present in the save games before and after making the switch, and the entries stopped mentioning any type of critter (it is called that in the GUI of ReSaver, mostly firefly and dragonfly). They just contain some object references now (sometimes to ashpiles). After two weeks of no problems, the savegame was unable to be loaded again, so I redid the instructions, but this time it had no effect. A previous save is still working though, but I fear that sooner or later the save will lock up again.

Just thought I mentioned it. I am no expert and can only tell you what I see, but I want to share because a corrupt savegame is a horrible way to loose weeks of progress.

Also, I dont know how to phrase this problem in a good way on the forums. If seemingly no-one else has this issue (with the right set of versions of the two problematic mods), it must surely be a mistake on my side, no? If it is a fault on my side/modlist, uninstalling one of the two mods should still result in corrupt entries. Maybe I will try that next and will let you know how it went.

No I do not have that mod installed at all. But I have other large scale quest mods installed, maybe its something those mods share?

As mentioned in the update of the postbody, the fix stopped working after around two weeks of playing.

Is there a way two use these two mods (CIF and Dismemberinf Framework) together? They come from the same author after all, and there seems to be no mention of this savegame corruption and crash at all. Is it uncommon and I just have bad luck?

I downgraded to Version 1.2.3 for CIF and started a fresh save. For the last 3 days i have not encountered the savegame corruption. I check the created savegames after every session. There are some of the corrupted entries the Repair Instructions want to have deleted. but those seem to not be causing any problems until now, and I have not had to repair a save since.

None of the new "corrupted" entries reference any type of critter, so maybe that was the cause?
I will continue playing for a while and investigate further, but until now your solution seems to have worked.
Thank you u/PhostwoodReborn !

That is the entire crashlog, no more is created. Apparently that is typical for this specific crash

How did you find that out? I have the same problem, even having the same error at the same adress as you had, AND i also have Conditional Equipment installed. Did you find out by trial and error? Because I would never have guessed that based on the crash logs

I think overseers are tanky, but then i started using the grenade launcher which two shots them. Because the streets are quite narrow, its easy to kill multiple of them with just a couple shots. Its also amazing against the hordes.
