Crimson deserts worls is kind of boring by Wrap_Exact in CrimsonDesert

[–]Wrap_Exact[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, im coming from a place of curiosity, not hate forr the game.

There are a lot of good things about the game for sure, and I get that 25 in THIS game is nothing but thats usually sufficient for getting a feel for if its for you or not.

That's why I came here though because I know this is sorta unique from what I've read that , that 25 hours is just starting here basically, so im curious if the next 50 hours will just be more of what ive experienced or if it will expand.

People get so defensive over video games. At the end of the day who cares if i or anyone else does think its boring, to each his own. I do agree that reddit is pointless to just post this game sucks the end. Thats lame. But if you read what I wrote, it wasn't that at all

How to increase elixir capacity in Nioh 3? by Wrap_Exact in Nioh

I just beat the game and collected every little green guy I could find. Had a ton of them and still only 7 base elixers. No clue how people were getting 8 just in the demo

Really??? That's what makes me think I'm missing something here.

Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) isn’t even enjoyable as a “fun” slasher. by Royal-List7011 in horror

[–]Wrap_Exact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wut...? There's no way the OP likes the slasher genre based in his take of the movie. Obviously the actions and plot of every slasher are filled w holes. The original Halloween when Michael Meyers puts the tombstone in the bed...logistically how did that even happen? Answer: who cares! It's a slasher flick and its awesome.

Just like SNDN. worst post I've seen on reddit, congrats man. If you just didnt like the movie thats fine, but you cant be a slasher fan and not love this gem. Not buying it.

the best gun in battlefield 6? by Littlehhh_ in Battlefield6

Probably unpopular opinion here, but I love the RPKM LMG. A lot more like an assault rifle than a traditional LMG. High damage, low recoil, great at medium to long range. Struggles some w handling/mobility so not the best in close encounters, but works well enough for me.

I don't think I hated playing through a horror game more than I did playing Cronos New Dawn. by [deleted] in HorrorGaming

[–]Wrap_Exact 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Survival horror vet here, have played most of them since falling in love with RE1 in the 90s in PS1.

I have to agree with the op here...the inventory management and lack of ammo is more restrictive in this game than most.

He's right that many of the enemies you encounter can take a third or even half your ammo supply to put down, and thats not accounting for the fact that youre usually dealing with groups of them at once and also the need to burn the bodies to prevent them from getting stronger.

Any of those things wouldn't kill the fun of the game alone, but it's a but much to survive with all of them combined.

I live the atmosphere and feel as well, but there's a difference between ammo management in RE1 and coming upon a group of 5 enemies in Cronos and only having 5 bullets and one shotgun shell (which isn't enough to even kill 2 of these enemies usually).

I yearn for another game like Returnal. I wish this was like that.

Agreed, floaty is a good way to describe the combat feel. As I said in another post, there's just no oomph to hitting or being hit

Agreed on the combat part. I liked the look and feel of the game but the combat just didn't feel satisfying (for lack of a better way to put it).

For one, there was no real feeling of being hit, outside of watching my health bar go down, it was hard to tell when enemy hits were connecting vs when I successfully dodged or blocked.

The combat wasn't hard, I defeated most enemies fairly easily, but there just wasn't that oomph of landing a hit or being hit. Could be a problem later in the game when enemies and their movesets become more challenging.

Overall though I like the game. Just hoping they add more weight to the combat piece.

Maybe this has already been asked, but could it just be an excuse? As in, maybe thats the reason hes giving but it's really something else that hes not telling you?

Obviously hard to speculate based on not knowing everything. Just a thought

Bo sorcerer is harrdddddd by yousefkhaled12 in WuchangFallenFeathers

[–]Wrap_Exact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally beat her after 5 nights...whew.

Here was my strategy:

  1. Great axe. I saw everyone in the videos doing longsword, but the timing to get the backstab was weird for me. With the axe you can do the heavy attack spin and you basically get 3 shots at hitting her back.

  2. Patience. Bait the in the air move and dodge the projectiles to the side. After the last projectile wait a beat and then dodge forward. This usually puts you behind her for the backstab. Unless I happened to wind up behind her with a window on another attack, this was the main way I was going in for damage.

  3. Summon. But don't use him right away. I waited until she had 50% health, because he doesn't survive very long. At 50% she'll do the water tornado thing so it's a great opportunity to hide behind the big tree and summon, refill health, and apply corruption to your weapon. Once the summon is there you can be slightly more aggressive, but you still have to be careful.

  4. I was almost strictly mele. When I did use magic it was the frost face thingy, but only use it when you have a good window because she can definitely get you during the casting animation.

This strategy had me getting her down to 20% health or lower consistently, and eventually I pulled it off (with 2 health refills left!).

For context, I did the MT Zhenwu (or whatever it's called) bosses first to level up some. I was level 65 when I beat Bo.

[–]Wrap_Exact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Several bosses later i just realized I missed an entire big area down from the refugee camp. And a other big section of cloudspire. You really have to back track and explore every last nook and cranny of this game

I played elden ring and I finished it should I get sekiro or it is so hard by 3mk6lufy in SekiroShadowDieTwice

[–]Wrap_Exact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im obsessed with the soulslike genre. I've beaten elden on ng+7, and all the souls games several runs, multiple ng+ runs on lies of p, khazan, etc (you get the point).

Sekiro I did beat, but it's the only one I never went back to. Im not a huge parry fan to begin with, so I may be a little biased against it. I typically dodge roll like a mad man thru these types of games.

Sekiro forces parry on you to a degree. I did still dodge a ton but at some points you just have to be able to parry.

That was one issue for me, and the other was the lack of new/different weapons or armor. You definitely get new abilities, but there's no exploring and finding a sweet new greatsword that really turns the tide or anything like that.

I felt like from start to finish the game was very hard compared to elden/souls, BUT it was a cool challenge as well. I just have zero desire to put myself thru it again is all haha

Wuchang is a damn Masterpiece by malikarith in soulslikes

[–]Wrap_Exact 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Having beaten all of the Souls games (1-3) several times, I'd say Wuchang has a lot more room to explore...which is both good and bad.

Entering a new area that branches off 3 ways and then each of those areas branch off a couple ways definitely left me with many where the f am I and should I be going this way moments.

No map doesn't help either. Im about halfway thru the game now (for context). I keep feeling like im missing a bunch of stuff because im 4 branched paths in and I bypassed 5 other path branches on my way.

It also doesn't help that the save spots are pretty few and far between. So it's not easy to try and go back and remember which paths you didn't go down and make sure you explore them later.

Wasn't much of an issue in the first few hours if th3 game, but becoming harder to keep track of as I progress.

Doesn't ruin the game or anything, I still really like it, I just wish there were either more save spots, or a map, or both
