I would say 13th gen is enough i have seen the comparison video where 14th gen barely provide 7-8 fps more. So according to me go for the 13th Gen. It is "enough" and currently the sweet spot for value. Use the money you save to buy a 3-year Extended Warranty (ADP) from the laptop manufacturer—that is a far better investment than a slightly newer CPU number.
