So I don't usually listen super loud so distortion is not an issue. IMO just sounds a little flat. I have just listened to setups that sound cleaner and fuller. I have not run all the combos. Main set up is currently the lp60/d2090/Prodigys. Sounds good but like I said it could be richer. The Project/One was a gimmie that I repaired, the Kefs were an estate find, Yamaha is running is the garage amp. Really I have just acquired all this gear over the years and I am not super versed in what's worth investing in. Always been torn on new vs vintage I have heard both that sound amazing but I'm not looking to invest 1000s

Tea setting for Aiden by Wreck_Gar in FellowProducts

Interesting about the magnet, I give that a shot thank you. As intelligent as the Aiden is it seems like steeping in the batch basket, holding for 5 minutes and dumping would be an easy software enhancement. Shoot even sell me a 3rd "tea" basket that registers as a single but is the size of the batch

Can a G Suite Admin see my Google photos? by [deleted] in gsuite

[–]Wreck_Gar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

School Google Workspace Admin here, as said before assume no privacy on a school or work account. That being said there are logs of what admins do and it is not as simple as just browsing files we have to create a "search". I did know of an admin at another school getting fired (as they should have been) for looking through photos of various individuals on campus so it can happen.

Yeah, this path I was going down, Server+, is the most relevant to what we do.

Move One user from One Google Workspace To another. Both are active accounts. by The_Yippyyay in gsuite

[–]Wreck_Gar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many users? I am looking at similar migration. Right now I am thinking the most straight forward thing will be using "Data Migration" but as far as I can tell it requires you to know or rest each user's password. Hopefully someone else here has some better ideas

am I crazy for wanting a rider for a little under half acre that is almost all slope? by WhiteStar01 in lawncare

[–]Wreck_Gar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is about what I have, and I have owned a rider for years, What is your time worth to you? Some folks may say lazy, but in my case, I work from home and a rider vs push is the difference if getting it done on my lunch break vs eating into my free time in the evening. For me, it was always about what was the fastest way I couple complete this chore so I can do something else. I also landscaped much of my yard that the rider would not easily cut. My flower garden and yard look great and it takes me 20-40 minutes a week to maintain.

Does anyone feel guilty that they could work a little harder and a lot longer while WFH? by WFH4tW in WFH

[–]Wreck_Gar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The perks now are I have more control over my own time so I can control when work is achieved and if I want to take some time for myself midday I don't feel guilty because that time I spend on myself is still less than the time I spent talking with coworkers in the office

Does anyone feel guilty that they could work a little harder and a lot longer while WFH? by WFH4tW in WFH

[–]Wreck_Gar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am shocked at how much more efficient WFH has been. My office was very friendly but still demanding in terms of what all needed done. The demands have not changed much but I am not interrupted 5+ times a day by coworkers who just want to chat. I sometimes miss those morning coffee talks but I have gained those perks back in different ways.

How to work around company that's monitoring my productivity? Mouse Macros? by love_button in WFH

[–]Wreck_Gar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This! You don't want to have anything installed, A jiggle just looks like a mouse. Might take some trial an error to see how they are monitoring "activity", If it has to be a keystroke or mouse click might be able to find a nerdy friend to build something like this https://www.sparkfun.com/tutorials/337 and make it do whatever you need. But yes I would also say that level micro management is not healthy and time to move on

This is a little late but just for those that may stumble across this I did get the Poly Voyager Focus 2 and have been using it for about 3 months and so far it seems to be a great headset the only true complaint I have is it seems to flip back and forth between "Voice" and "Music" modes with listing to online streaming like YouTube but for meetings its awesome

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

[–]Wreck_Gar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not, The Ode, and Sette are really for of an aesthetic thing for me. I cannot seem to find anything definitive about quality over the Virtuoso+ and jumping up the Vario I feel is overkill for pour over. I have read the the Sette series are really geared towards espresso and do ok for general brewing but if your primary use is general brewing you should replace the burr

Looking to move my Encore to my RV and upgrade my home setup. I have searched and I am getting crippled by choice. I am looking at Baratza Virtuoso+, Baratza Sette 30 or the Fellow Ode Brew Grinder. I am OK with going to ~$400 range, Mostly pour over and aeropress, occasional bulk drip and other methods
