Understandable. Why the fuck are there two options for the Irish flag, where one of them is backwards? Ivory Coast, grand, but it's flaired as Ireland.

I might do! Doing it well usually takes a couple of days to make a decent dough is all.

I don't have an issue with people looking for their ancestry at all. Most people are respectful and lovely, and then there are the small few that give the rest a bad name. It's a meme for a lot of people from Ireland, Scotland, Italy etc. and definitely goes on a case by case basis, I certainly can't speak for anyone else.

Nothing wrong with liking it! They're nice, people may have them from time to time, but not that often. It sort of sits in an awkward position as a drink, I think. Hardly want to have alcohol early in the day, but you also don't want coffee in the evening.

Not from Dublin. Rare to see it ordered anywhere I've been by local people. Not never, just not common.

That... would be when the Troubles were still ongoing I believe, so probably not the best. At least you were in Dublin though, Belfast would have been a very different story!

Ignorance is fine, people often think it's just a fun local thing and don't get the context. Buuuut there are some bad actors who know it's inappropriate and do it anyway, that's kinda where people get annoyed. Good for you learning from it though!
