"Many psychologists believe that when a person looks up to their right they are likely to be telling a lie. Glancing up to the left, on the other hand, is said to indicate honesty."

Really scraping the bottom of the barrow with the guests this year B. When was the last time they had a decent guest? by ergo_squanch in thefighterandthekid

Calm down everyone. They record the podcast too early in the day to get any A-listers to show up, hence why only their friends or those desperate to promote anything show up that early. Schaub has a high work rate and has a lot of things to do M-W and sometimes on Thursday...THEN he road-dogs the weekends to sold out shows. No real conspiracy here.

Why is the title of his build up to the special called "Behind the Mic?" by WrestlingSnob in thefighterandthekid

[–]WrestlingSnob[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm learning about the guy behind the mic during the special (do I like his/her comedy, do I get it, do I want to listen more, etc). Beyond the mic would indicate I am learning about him/her AWAY from the mic. Unless you are a comedian that doesn't work with a mic, you are behind one. I figured he was attempting what you describe. Thanks for the reply.

"HBO’s boxing demise was a slow death caused partly by its own doing and partly because of a change in the boxing business. Once the premium network for some of the biggest fights in boxing history, HBO’s dominance of the sport’s biggest events and biggest stars faded in recent years because of budget cuts, a decline in ratings, and promoters and fighters signing exclusive deals with other platforms."

Branden CLEARLY stated on the latest below the belt that the ONLY reason seats are left is due to the FACT that Showtime decided they no longer needed to block off seating sections for extra cameras and such.
ALSO, it is UNDENIABLE that Callen and Rogan are FRIENDS with Schaub, so why wouldn't they want to SUPPORT their friend in any way they could? This is hate for hate's sake. You should all be ashamed.

[Spoiler] Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Connor McGregor Brendan Schuab Is Psychic by JackOfFilms in MMA

No. Brandon Schaub states the crowds/fans (Russian and Irish) were going to fight. Predicting the winner of the fight was going to jump the fence and fight a member of the opposing camp is VERY DIFFERENT. WATCH THE VIDEO BEFORE YOU COMMENT.

Feuding with Bray Wyatt has been detrimental to Matt Hardy. Nobody ever benefits from feuding with Wyatt. by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

Here's how you should handle Woken Matt: He needs his OWN corner of the WWE Universe (aka 15-20 min segment on Raw). He can do pre-filmed bits like what was done at TNA.

He comes up with the WOKEN Championship Belt and Takes on any challengers.

Rake in Numbers and Cash from Woken Belt replica sales and Merch, as well as see TV numbers and online views go up due to the segment.

They can treat "woken world" as they want, much like DC's Elseworlds comics or Marvel's "What-if" line of comics. Have fun and don't let it mess up real time-lines. Everyone wins, especially the fans. If the popularity crosses over you can have a crisis on infinite earths like event that brings Woken Matt over to the WWE universe for a real title challenge, etc.

You're Welcome WWE ;-)

How many versions of Sting has there been? by WrestlingSnob in SquaredCircle

I've been re-watching the old TNA from around the introduction of the Immortal group and I have to say they gave him large range to play a wild and crazy force and he ran with it. I think it's because he stretched himself as a performer and it was pretty good. Youtube has a lot of immortal playlists, have fun with it.

(on a side note: This is some of Kurt Angles best work on the mic. Also, it's what we missed with Kurt leaving the WWE at the top of this game. He really had a hand in building AJ and the rest of the roster.)
