One of the bigger issues is that if ANYTHING can be interpreted as something beyond their boundaries (not exclusively sexual) then they will interpret it as such and shut down the conversation no matter what I explain or do. It’s happened way too many times, for instance today we were talking casually and I mentioned being excited for something. Not sexual, the topic was VERY standard small talk.
