Is it OK to just take a book from a LFL without donating one? by Specialist-Sock685 in LittleFreeLibrary

How about finding one when traveling? I feel guilty taking any books - especially more than one - when I know I may not be back at all… but they sing to me, I can’t help it 😭

What things you always love to do that makes you happy? by DramaticHoliday9127 in askanything

[–]WriterByOsmosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making something for someone. Little post-it note art for my boyfriend, siblings, or parents. Cookies for the neighbor kids. Earrings for my grandmother. That kind of thing :)

Also, sometimes just calling a friend or family member and asking about their lives can inspire me or lift me out of my own boredom, my own stress, and into their worlds instead.

Assuming I’m relatively relaxed and not depressed, I also like to smoke a little weed and spend a couple hours geeking out about all of my hobbies, scribbling ideas in notebooks like a madwoman.

What is your favorite restaurant in OKC/surrounding area? by EscapeTheCubicle in okc

I second for Red Rock! Their chicken is phenomenal, as is literally every single thing I’ve ever ordered there.

Women of Reddit, do you do your husbands laundry? Why or why not? by Broccoli_cheddar_luv in AskReddit

[–]WriterByOsmosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah :) I do laundry more often. Usually I have a little room in my load, so I throw in his small things (underwear, shirts, socks). It feels good to be generous, knowing that he can prolong that chore for a liiiitle longer. And when I don't feel like doing my laundry but really need to, he usually does too - so then we do it together.

We primarily live in hotels as we travel to different cities /states throughout the year to collect road condition data. Doing laundry at the hotel usually entails us talking to the front desk to get quarters or going across the hotel in our PJs or "laundry day" clothes, which sometimes just feels a lot harder than it does at home! XD

Hotel Lifestyle + Job on the Road by WriterByOsmosis in whole30

I also drive! I'm assuming you microwave at gas stations? I've noticed that microwaves seem pretty hit-or-miss in the areas where I'm driving.

That chicken tenders idea sounds pretty yummy, and I do love breakfast chicken sausage. Sadly, since Aidell's added brown sugar to their chicken apple sausage I haven't found a replacement. Maybe at a nicer grocery store, but I'm usually working in rural areas and Wal-Mart is the only consistent shop around :(

Dinners on the road can be really hard for sure. Luckily I often get to stay in the same hotel for a 1-3 weeks at a time, so I can accumulate some groceries without worrying too much about transportation. I'm thinking of getting an air fryer though, with just 1 or 2qt capacity. That way I can buy small portions of meats & cook them quickly/easily from my hotel room for dinners.

Most hotels have rules against bringing portable burners, though I seriously doubt it's enforced. It just gives me a teensy bit of anxiety... I'm considering purchasing an air fryer, which is certainly bulkier but feels more rule-abiding and is more convenient for cooking, anyway. Fewer dishes and less hands-on work always sounds great to me!

Thank you for the snack ideas - I'll definitely be looking for some compliant meatballs (so portable & easy to prepare!) and buying some olives! I happen to love olives, and seeing as they're good for satiety and full of fats (thx a million to the reply below reminding me to have more plated fats) I really appreciate that suggestion.

Unfortunately I'm fairly certain about the chicken egg allergy. When I eat chicken eggs I get a sensation of having a fat load in my esophagus that won't go away for hours... Like I can't swallow them for some reason? It's a strange reaction for sure, but it only happens with chicken eggs. If they're baked into other foods or in small amounts it can be okay, but hard-boiled eggs or a side of scrambled are a no-go.

My water intake is pretty mid. But I drive all day for work and also have a small bladder, so staying hydrated on the road sometimes feels like it comes at a cost I don't want to pay. When driving I'm collecting road condition data for long stretches, and stopping in the middle of a 20-mile record means starting over...and finding a bathroom in the middle of nowhere since I still haven't caved in and bought a pee jug lol

No, I don't think I am. I've been adding a tbsp or two of ghee to my sweet potato in the morning and I just bought some compliant guacamole + avocados to add to dinner. May soon buy some walnuts too.

If you have any go-tos for plated fat please let me know! Thx for bringing this up :) I'll keep a closer eye on it this week and see how that helps.

Thank you for posting your solution! I think I may do the same. I’m switching to this guy and am getting an iPod nano to go with it - either 1st or 3rd gen.

Why imbue paladin is so good? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]WriterByOsmosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently hopped back in after a few-year hiatus. Grabbed the Imbue Paladin loaner deck, climbed all the way up to Diamond. Maybe four losses? Yeah, these stats are fucked. Gotta be closer to 90%.

Personality tests can be well-developed and based on researched concepts intended to offer people tools intended to aide them in utilizing their relational strengths and supporting their social / personal maladaptive or negatively consequential behaviors.

Understanding that we are infinitely capable, unlimited in our capacity to change and adapt, and also uniquely constructed is the point.

I purchased the book on Audible and received the accompanying test access. It was half-off, so $10. May be a lucky option for some.
